Early vacation

Property was as advertised. Literally steps from the beach. Balcony gave spectacular view.Bonus- having laundry in the condo was a really nice plus!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect place to stay for our beach weekend. The beach is right at the bottom of the stairs and not crowded at all. We all had a fantastic weekend, and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Absolutely beautiful!

This was our 2nd stay here. The beach was right in front of you, very calming and relaxing. Demie was very responsive and goes out of her way to provide guests the best experience. Would recommend.

A wonderful vacation

We can’t say enough positive things about our stay! The location was absolutely perfect for our family with two kids who love the beach! Having access to beach chairs, boogie boards and a shibumi shade tent was such a plus to our stay. The host is extremely accommodating and goes above and beyond to help make your stay wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!

A slice of heaven!

Check in was a breeze and we were I was immediately impressed with all of the little touches that were made to make guests feel comfortable. The condo was clean and well kept. The host was very quick to respond to any of my questions and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The view of the ocean is breathtaking and beach access was steps away. We loved our stay and hope to be back.

Mini vacation

This property was perfect for us…just steps from the quiet, clean relaxing beach. The condo is small but perfect for a couple. The host was superb!! She occasionally checked in to make sure everything was fine and also made excellent restaurant recommendations. This was our first trip to Topsail and most enjoyable…we will be back!

Wonderful Vacay Rental

The rental was tastefully decorated with all the basic amenities, plus more! We enjoyed the beach during low tides and watching tv and playing available games during the rainy weather. Gorgeous views from the balcony, overlooking the ocean! The owner is quick to respond and very pleasant to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay and were pleased to have such a laid back and easy-going experience!

Lovely place

This condo was perfectly situated for us with regard to access and a lovely place to stay. Our host was responsive and easily accessible. We had a wonderful week. Be aware, though: If you are one who wants to sit out on the beach all day long, from early in the morning until late afternoon, these condos are probably not for you. Due to the beach erosion issue and the placement of sandbags, the beach disappears from about 1.5 to 2 hours before and after high tide.

Overall a great stay

We really enjoyed the property. It was quiet even with the Tiki Bar across the street. Checking in and out was a breeze. Demi was excellent with communication. The room was nice and had most things that we needed. If you have small children just keep in mind that this is definitely ocean front. There’s only really a beach at low tide. During high tide we had to travel down the road to the public beaches. Not a problem, I just didn’t realize it when booking

great stay

The owners were great. I had to call for a couple of reasons (not the owners fault) and she was extremely helpful and nice. The condo is in great condition with a great view from the balcony. The only issue I had was with the kitchen supplies. Not enough pots, pans, kitchen utensils. The ice maker was broken (she said she was getting it fixed). All in all it was a great stay.

The beach is literally right there…

The place was just like described and it was beautiful. It is literally ON the beach. During high tide you step in the water when you come off the steps of the building!! A hurricane/tropical storm had just been through and Demie was unaware that the unit hadn’t been fully cleaned but once I made her aware, she was willing to compensate me. It was great to spend all morning on the beach and be so close to go make lunch and come back and eat on the beach. It was very relaxing and the sand was great for sandcastles. I will say though, the sofa/futon is not very comfortable and having to keep the outdoor furniture inside takes up a lot of room when you have 4 people in there. However, all that said we would stay there again and hopefully furniture would be beautiful and livable, not just beautiful. 😊

Great stay and amazing host!

We absolutely loved our location and the host. When we arrived we were notified that the air conditioner had broke. Being that we had a 2 1/2 yr old with some special needs we were a little concerned at first. Our host went above and beyond to get it fixed and get another unit in as soon as possible. In the meantime she made sure we had fans and a standing air conditioning unit for the bedroom which helped keep the room cool for our toddler! We loved the proximity to the ocean, we could have not been any closer. The condo was very clean and there was many items already there for our use! We had what we needed for make dinner for multiple nights after a quick stop at the local grocery store! Demi was very accommodating during our whole stay and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way! It was very reassuring knowing that she was 100 percent devoted to making sure we had the best possible stay. We stayed there with my husband and I and our 10yr old and 2 1/2 yr old. We did have to move some items in the bedroom to get a pack n play to fit for our son but was able to do it and fit comfortably! We would stay again for sure and can’t wait to make another trip back to topsail! We loved our location and our host made our trip even more enjoyable! 5 stars all the way around!

A great week!

We enjoyed staying at Demie’s unit this week! This is our 4th trip to Topsail, the first without kids so this little haven was perfect for us. Demie was very communicative and happy to help in any situation. The deck opened up in the middle of our visit (out of Demie’s control) and we were able to really enjoy sitting and listening to the tides coming in and out. The shibumi shade was great for everyday on the beach and on the couple days where the wind was low, she had 2 umbrellas available. This unit is unique in that there is a full size washer/dryer which was great to wash beach towels. If I had to give a couple suggestions I would suggest a couch that maybe is a little more comfy for evening tv watching and something with a fabric not so delicate. We ended putting a bed sheet over it so as not to mess anything up. Also, a lamp in the living room would be nice as the overhead light is pretty bright when you are just hanging out. Also if you are a light sleeper this might pose a problem if there are people in the unit above you. Pretty loud, especially if those people are late nighters (nothing reflecting on Demie just observing from our stay). Other than that, I have no issues. Thank you for a great weeks experience!

Really great condo

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The condo is really great. It’s a little snug with the owners stuff and our stuff but no biggie. Pros: -right on the beach -first floor so no taking stairs -quiet -owner communicates extremely well and super nice -local eateries nearby -shibumi beach umbrella (really loved it) -beach not overcrowded -WiFi worked for multiple devices Cons -the only air conditioner is in the living room so you have to put a fan in the hall to push the air to the bedroom. We typically sleep with the bedroom door closed and this was not an option. The bedroom got very hot with the door closed. ***Owner provided the fan so no need to bring one*** -the HOA is redoing the decks. The HOA is super slow at getting the inspection done on the decks. Our deck was complete but we were unable to use it because the inspection was still pending. There were about 9 condos in our building that could not use the deck because it was waiting on inspection. Very disappointed that we couldn’t use the deck. It was boarded half way up on one side so it was hard to even see out. Owner handled this very well. She seemed just as frustrated as we were that the deck was unusable. Not her fault but she did make it right. We will 100% be back

Beautiful, quiet getaway with amazing view

Amazing view and right on the beach. This would have been a perfect getaway, but we were notified on the day of arrival that the balcony would not be accessible. The unit # of the condo was not given to us until I messaged the host. I understand that is not given out for safety reasons, but it should have been provided when the key code was provided . I did have to request a couple times to receive the key code. When we arrived, we discovered that we couldn’t even open the sliding doors and a huge board blocked about 40% of the view. This was really disappointing and why it didn’t get 5 star review. A small refund was given along with a beach tent. I know it was out of the host’s control, but I think we should have been notified sooner as this was an going project dating back into June. Also, not being able to open sliding door was a safety hazard if there had been a fire. The A/C did well for the living area, but the bathroom and bedroom in the back were stuffy and warm. Ceiling fan and an additional floor fan was provided, which made the temperature tolerable. Although beautifully decorated, there was a lot of furniture which made it difficult for all three of us to fit our stuff. I think a little less furniture would help especially when the balcony furniture was moved inside. The BR ceiling/ exhaust fan was not in the best condition and died the last day of our trip. It was eye opening as it was my first VRBO stay. I would come back to Topsail.
