"Room was clean... bed was ok as far as comfort. But this was really a "just the basics" room. I didn't think they made TVs that small anymore and the sound fluctuated from "what did he say?" to "OMG that's loud" all on its own. There is a $50 fee for not washing dishes but there is no sink, except the one in the bathroom."

"A lovely location on the Coromandel Peninsula, perfect for families in a safe resort park setting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with cooking facilities which will probably come in very handy as there is very little available in the "village" of Hahei itself in terms of cafe / restaurants particularly in the evening at end of season when we visited. Having said that, the General Store has a good range and a good cup of coffee can be had at a couple of places. Facilities in the park are good for families with kids - and of course you are right on the beach. There are a number of attractions nearby such as Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove and Cooks Beach and a cute ferry across to Whitianga. A shuttle bus operates from a large car park in the village providing access to the attractions of Cathedral Cove."

"This was supposed to be a more luxurious stay than some over this 5 week trip but didn't really match my expectations. I arrived to an excellent welcome, however I was informed that on a Sunday there was only a buffet, no á la carte (I should have been informed that this was the situation, as one of a prerequisites on a trip of a "nice" hotel stay, is a good meal in the hotel). I was taken to my room - which was lovely (think a cross between Centre Parks, tree house and safari lodges, in style) but it was dusk and getting cold but the wall mounted unit would not work. I tried 3 times to get reception on the phone and finally, was told someone would be along. I waited 45 minutes - called numerous times. I didn't unpack in case I needed to move rooms and couldn't shower, despite being told I needed to be at the buffet by 7.30pm. Eventually the reception lady appeared and told me hot air was coming out of the unit when it wasn't! She said it would take 10 mins to fully function .... 25 mins later - having been silent and still SUDDENLY the fan threw out hot air! So made my way down to dinner (more outside lighting required, as paths steep and many steps). Buffet was pathetic - shepherds pie (pulled beef .... mmm wrong ingredient!) various spiced dishes (I can't eat spice), pesto pasta and some salad. Rice pudding, a tart, fresh fruit and some cookies! It's the stuff of school lunches and by 9pm the staff are waiting for me to leave. Breakfast was adequate and the bed c"

"Good for short stay, but was not informed about the water being off for maintenance the morning of checking out. Until a returned the key back to the front office. So couldn't wash my face or teeth."

"The room matches what listed and quite, the only issue I had was no staff on the site, sofa bed issue was resolved after few messages and sometimes, Steve sent a nice lady to come to resolve. The motel is vey close to beach and have very good view"

"Stayed at one of the ensuite cabims. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower water pressure was fantastic & facilities within the park were also excellent. Happy to recommend."
