"Definitely cozy for a family of 4. Nice to have a full kitchen and great location for access to the slopes. Poor lighting in the hall dealing with the r lockbox and hard to keep up with single key - might consider a keyboard for ease. Coffee maker basket would not come out making it challenging to clean. Overall would recommend and host responsive especially when we did not get check in instructions before arrival."

"Assuming you’re visiting to mountain bike or ski, this is the perfect location. The trails/slopes are right outside the hotel. The bike storage/locker room area is underneath the hotel. The restaurants and shops and everything is all a short walk away. We found the price to be very reasonable (in July) for all the amenities that were included. The pool area was really nice. Staying here also meant the fun pass was included, which gave us access to the Splitrock Pools (which was so awesome), a rock climbing wall, and lots of other fun activities for kids and adults. I know each room is different, but ours was good. No complaints. Highly recommend."

"Our group of family and friends had a great stay! The house is well stocked with anything you could want to stay entertained when not exploring the outdoors. Monica was responsive and a wonderful host. For those with an EV car, there is an EV charger in the parking lot - so super easy to recharge while away. Highly recommend Black Bear 33!"

"We had such a great stay. So quiet and secluded in nature! We saw deer and many other wildlife on the property. Tons of songbirds and butterflies everywhere. Chipmunks! Only a 2 minute drive to the cute little town Marlinton which had anything we needed including some good little coffee shops and pubs. We even stopped eating out the last few meals so we could cook in the cabin and enjoy some meals in it. The cabin we had was so comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Spent a lot of time sitting on the porch and enjoying nature. The hosts are very accommodating and had the cabin ready and spotless for us! Thank you Caley!!"
