Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Seoul Myeongdong

"Comfort stay, walking distance 8-10min to subway, a bit off the busiest part of myeongdong which is not bad. If you take the airport bus to here, you need to take the stairs to the underground to cross the Main Street to get to the hotel. I believe the station to airport you don’t have to but we didn’t get to verify as this was our first stay out of two in Seoul. The only annoying part of our stay is the shower as it will leak to ground after a few minutes as the bath tub has a ledge to hold the water and it became full after a couple minutes of use. Rooms are small, breakfast is decent for $15 and you get to make veg bimbimpa, instant noodle, hot riffle and some western breakfast. Laundry (huge washer) gets busy at night."

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

"The hotel is in the heart of the shopping street so it’s just steps from shops and restaurants. Very clean and modern. We had a view of the cathedral from our 9th floor room. Beds were comfortable. Wifi worked well throughout the hotel. Lobby is in the 21st floor. Taxi can’t drive up to the front door until after midnight so you need to walk to a major street if you’re coming from the airport with lots of luggage. We tried the buffet breakfast and it was good and convenient with a nice view from the top of the hotel but a bit expensive. Hotel provides free ice candy, money exchange, umbrellas, vending machine, and luggage storage in the lobby. We checked in at midnight with no problem. Check out time is 12pm so we had plenty of time to sleep in and pack our bags. Coin laundry and free microwave ovens are on the 6th floor. Ice machine and water dispenser on every floor. We received 3 bottles of water and new towels every day! Netflix and Amazon can login to your account and automatically log out when you leave."
HOTEL MYEONGDONGJANG

"Check in and out is via Kiosk, simple and easy system. AC is tied to lights and uses door key to keep them on, room got quite hot while I was out. 3 business cards fixed the issue. Light on door said Key in Use, indicating the door key was in the light slot, could be a security issue. Toilet seat was not fastened properly and bidet did not work. Common kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee and ice as well as eating utensils. Bed was comfortable, location was fantastic, two blocks to night market and two blocks to subway. TV had Netflix, YouTube and Prime apps installed. Good place to sleep while exploring Seoul if you don’t need a gym or pool."

"Received an upgrade for my room. The front desk was nice and friendly. Breakfast is ok for commercial customers. Location is good because it is near the subway station and also a lot of restaurants opened til midnight."
Hotel Gracery Seoul

"Me and my husband absolutely love staying at this hotel everytime we are in Seoul. Very convenient in terms of location to transportation: the airport limousine bus drops off a minute away, station access within a couple minutes, and bus stops just a few steps from the entrance of the hotel. There is also a port cochere for easy taxi or car drop offs and pick ups. There is a plethora of food options in every direction, including some nightlife one street behind the hotel. This hotel’s staff is always friendly and respectful, extremely clean, and has a nice view of Gyeongbokgung Palace and the surrounding city. The room size is enough for a couple. We got a room where the toilet room and shower room were separate so that was a plus. One of my favorite amenities that they provide are collagen eye masks which are perfect when you’ve traveled for hours and need a refresh. Highly recommend this hotel for short or long stays. We can’t wait for our next trip to the Hotel Gracery Seoul!"
