A good price, but a far walk
$20 a night??? I thought that this distinguished website had finally cracked and I was benefitting from the website error, but in all fairness this was worth the price. Located in a region of Shanghai with no direct subway access, walking to this location was not bad, but still rather inconvenient. Moreover, it is not very close to the Shanghai city center. There are few taxis, so expect to walk.
As for the room, you get what you pay for. Bed, bathroom, and floor and not much else. The airconditioner worked, but for some reason ice shaving's kept falling from it every hour and waking me up!
If you need a cheep place to stay, you can't get much cheaper than this. But if you want a convenient location and a good night's sleep, dig a little deeper in your wallet.
