  • Welcome to Proctor's Haven! Enjoy a quiet escape on twenty-four private acres on a magnificent bluff overlooking Sweeton’s Cove. Located in Sewanee, Tennessee, Proctor's Haven offers a private lake for fishing, two large porches, a Traeger Grill, and a comfortable well-appointed cabin with a well-equipped kitchen. Includes fast fiber internet, plus board games, books, and puzzles for families and friends to connect and enjoy time away in a spectacular, peaceful setting on the Cumberland Plateau.

Perfect Wooded Retreat with Mountain Views!

What a fantastic getaway! This charming cabin nestled in the woods was the perfect escape for our family. The stunning mountain view was a highlight, and our dogs absolutely loved exploring the wooded surroundings. The cabin was well-equipped and made us feel right at home. Amazing, clean cabin

Proctors Haven was the perfect stay for our group of friends. Super clean, plenty of space, great location. A wonderful spot if you’re looking to get away and be in nature for a bit. Would definitely come back. Also Sam was very communicative and helpful right from the start

Beautiful and charming place to stay.

This cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and the big screen porch is great! This place is very secluded so if you like a lot of space and surrounding nature it's a fun place to stay. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and quiet retreat

We had a peaceful and quiet visit to Proctor’s Haven and used it as our base to visit the region. What an amazing place. So quiet and peaceful. The pond, the decks, the nice big comfortable living room with the well stocked kitchen were all perfect. Even the WiFi was surprisingly fast. The perfect mountain retreat. Looking forward to my next visit.

Perfect cabin getaway!

A wonderful home away from home. A beautifully decorated cabin with a well stocked, user-friendly kitchen. It was clear that the owners put great thought into making sure that guests had everything they could need. We loved the amazing views down the mountain from the comfortable screened-in porch. A ton of privacy at the cabin, but it was great to be so close to all of the wonderful things that Sewanee has to offer. We will absolutely be back!

So lovely and peaceful!

We so enjoyed our stay at Proctor's Haven. The expansive property, which includes a lovely view and a small lake, provides quiet and natural beauty in abundance. Indoors, the owners have stocked the kitchen with everything one might need, as well as games for family enjoyment. The screened porch was my personal favorite place to play guitar and read. Highly recommend!

Quiet Getaway

A lovely private place to enjoy nature and each other. We started off mornings by taking our doggies on long walks, then enjoyed coffee and bird song on the screened in porch. The pier on the pond is a quiet place to watch nature, and the fish literally jump up out of the water. At night, the frogs and owls sing. The hammock out back is a perfect place to view the stars. Inside is charming, clean, and cozy with a full kitchen and plenty of space for everyone. It was a terrific stay.

Quiet, very comfortable, isolated, very nice it was.

It was great! First class cabin and furnishings - very comfortable and quiet. Lots of unspoiled nature to enjoy. We saw many deer, turkey, assorted, colorful birds that I had never seen, and we caught several largemouth bass in the lake. The view out back of the mountains and valley were wonderful too! I liked the fact that it was new and that it had a nice TV with plenty of channels and a new, emergency stand-by generator, just in case. We will be back!

Cabin was really nice, so quiet, gorgeous vuews, and the pond was nice, we caught some small mouth bass, we let them back in to grow and produce. We really enjoyed it, coming back from town we would see about 5 deer at the driveway, and they came to the pond to get them a drink.
