When the weather is nice, this is not a big issue but during rainy days it is. Joao, Susana and their assistant are caring Hosts who want you to have a perfect stay and are always available.」

「Great property in a very scenic area. We climbed in nearby Redinha and walked through the surrounding villages. The local supermarket was very friendly and well stocked and we recommend the local Brasserie/takeaway in Santa Guardia. We were warm during cold nights with the heating system and a blanket and had sunny clear weather during our stay. Eurico was very helpful and we knew we could reach out to him at any time if we needed assistance with anything. Great place to stay!」

Région à découvrir, villages et paysage autour d'un massif montagneux qui vaut vraiment le détour, si on aime le calme. Des accès pour baignade très bien aménagé. Voiture indispensable.」

A cause de la sécheresse nous n avons pas pu nous baigner dans la piscine. Ce qui est dommage ! Les gens qui nous ont accueillis sont très sympathiques.」

We wanted to find a typical, unspoiled area this time and found this lovely villa near Penela. The location, surroundings and countryside are so beautiful and unspoiled. It is Portugal as we remembered it, near to so many lovely places, amazing beaches and fantastic restaurants. Prices are still very good and we had some lovely meals. A...

The place is surrounded by tranquil nature but the town is very close by and the closest shop and restaurant are in a walking distance. The hosts were really nice and helpful and provided us everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Everthing is also very clean and well organized. The atmosphere in this place is unique. We would love to go again.」

「This is a really lovely property: large, modern, beautiful, comfortable. It is in a small village, and is 1-2 hours away from many wonderful Portugal experiences, including, the sea shore, Douro Valley, Porto, Schist Villages, Tomar (must see the Templar castle there), Fatima, and more. As Americans, we were happy to drive and have a great home base to return to each day. Steve is a wonderful host. Definitely choose this property if you can.」

「The process was simple and the property was everything we expected. the only negative was the shower curtain, had some mold and I did have to wash it before taking a shower so that was a bit of an oversight. Other than that the cleanliness was spot on in the remainder of the home. We enjoyed the location as it was central to our interests. The neighbourhood was friendly and the local bakery was spectacular.」
