Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy

Dirty, Smelly, unpleasant

Our room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupants. Beds un-made and dirty, dirty towels on the floor. The sliding door to the balcony wouldn’t shut so the wind whistled through loudly. Contacted manager who arranged a different room, which wasn’t quite as nice as the room we had “booked” but was fresher. The bathrooms smelt like sewerage after 24hrs and made us feel quite sick. Every 2nd Elevator was broken. What would’ve been a beautiful hotel in its day was now very run down and needed a lot of maintenance. We were so disappointed, and had such great hopes for Jeju island it made an impression that made the rest of our stay on Jeju unpleasant. We didn’t enjoy Jeju as much as we had hoped and wondered if the hotel had been better it would’ve made all the difference.
