But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! This place is amazing! The owner Steve is there every day and is so friendly but that’s not what made this place so great. The care that went into every detail of the rooms. It is like a portal in time but you feel right at home. So comfortable! They have thought of everything! There are only 12 rooms, a beautiful courtyard and a lobby with art work that you have to stop and admire! I also can’t forget to mention Fran, who is super friendly and very helpful. This is a must if you are going to be staying in Sedona.

We had such a lovely experience at this little inn. It is in a very convenient location, right next to the arts district. The room was incredible. We felt like we had a guest suite in someone’s home.
