About this property

Seward Park 4BR — Private Basement Suite, Walk to Lake Washington

  • A 2,280 sq ft home in Seattle's Seward Park neighborhood, steps from Lake Washington and the Seward Park old-growth trail. Four bedrooms, a self-contained basement suite with its own living room, kitchenette, and full bathroom, and a private garden with patio. The layout works particularly well for two families traveling together or any group that wants privacy within a shared home — the basement suite operates independently from the main floor, with complete separation between the two spaces.

Seward Park is one of Seattle's best-kept secrets — 2.4 miles of lakeside trail through old-growth forest, kayak launches, swimming beaches, and some of the city's best dog-walking terrain, all within a 10-minute walk.

    THE HOME

Two distinct living spaces across two floors — a main floor with three bedrooms and a full bathroom, and a self-contained basement suite below with its own king bedroom, full bathroom, kitchenette, living room, and dining area. The two spaces share the exterior entry but are otherwise fully independent. Groups can gather together or retreat to their own floor — it's a genuinely flexible layout that most 4BR homes don't offer.

    Main floor:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed, closet, private en-suite bathroom
    Bedroom 2: Queen bed, closet
    Bedroom 3: Queen bed, closet
    Shared full bathroom
Living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining area, patio access to private garden

    Basement suite:

    Bedroom 4: King bed, closet
    Full bathroom with tub
    Kitchenette
    Living room
    Small dining area
Fully self-contained with its own entrance feel

    THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Seward Park is one of Seattle's most beloved green spaces — a forested peninsula jutting into Lake Washington with a 2.4-mile loop trail, swimming areas, kayak and paddleboard launches, and some of the most pristine old-growth Douglas fir forest left in the city. The neighborhood around the park is quiet and residential, with Columbia City's restaurant row 10 minutes by car for evenings out.

Beautiful Lakewood Location

This is a beautiful, super clean, well maintained property with many thoughtful touches--for example, the selection of coffee pods provided was amazing! It was extremely comfortable for 6 adults, but could easily handle more. We were not there as tourists but were attending a family gathering in the area. We chose this house because it had fewer stairs/easier access for an older person recovering from hip replacement surgery, and it worked very well for her. Parking in the driveway was satisfactory, and neighborhood was quiet. When we had questions, management responded quickly and thoroughly. We would definitely stay here again. The patio area would be lovely in the summer!

Wow! What a beautiful home to spend a week in! We were in Seattle during a heat wave, so it was wonderful having central AC. This home has so much room and is wonderfully appointed and decorated. It's located in a calm, peaceful area, but has easy access to all of what Seattle has to offer. We would definitely stay again!

Our family had a wonderful time! Property management communicated very well and gave us ample time to get settled. The space was very stylish, well maitained, and lots of cute places within walking distance, as well as the trails by the water! This space made our stay in Seattle fun and comfortable.

Our family of 5 had a great stay here to kick off our summer vacation. It was an easy drive from the airport and to downtown Seattle. The house was very clean and well-decorated in a nice neighborhood - just a short walk from the water. We have 3 kids (ages 8-13) and they appreciated having their own space. The basement was basically it's own separate apartment and had a full size washer and dryer (a must for a family of 5). The yard had lovely landscaping and I enjoyed sitting outside with my cup of coffee and a book in the morning. There was also a lovely office space off the living room and in the basement. The owner was very informative and quick to respond to questions. We had a great time, the beds were cozy and we highly recommend visiting the Aslan brewery and restaurant at the bottom of the hill. The pizza was amazing!
