1. this is a 1 bedroom, not 2 bedroom 2. the wooden gate entrance was a hazard. the handle was broken and the door had to be open to the street, not to mention it was big and awkward.3. the code lock was hard to see4. the handle on the door to enter was loose.5. there's a curtain that is on a rod that is a fire hazard for entering and exiting 6. steps to the only bedroom are narrow and extremely steep. I haven't checked codes on the steps, yet, but I will.7. the carpet upstairs is uncleaned, greasy.8. the upstairs bed mattress is extremely hard, barely any covers for bed.9. the upstairs cabinets, there's two, both are full of dirt, dust, and pieces of trash, and old house stuff, they are a hazard, lock them, if you're going neglect basic amenities, such as storage for guests.10. no storage upstairs for folded clothing or hang ups.11. hallway closet is a hazard. it's completely crammed, as soon as I opened it, stuff falls out.12. cool history of Paul, but obituary cards from his funeral hanging out of a framed newspaper article are eery, and concerning. (if creepy is the vibe, that should be stated in the description)13. As soon as you walk into the main area and look up ALL 3 FANS ARE MISSING THEIR GLOBES. (globe replacements cost the same if not less than the stupid red ribbon they decided to hang up while utilizing our parking spots during rush hour!)14. another hard bed with minimal covering.15. 2 of the blinds had tears at the tops.16. Perfect pet friendly spot for Cajun country

Excellent location, great decoration, and fun space. We really enjoyed using the home as a jumping off point for Cajun Mardi Gras. Wonderful historic home perfect for two people and a small dog, will stay again!

Family/High School Reunion

Our stay was very enjoyable. The VRBO is in a great location. The only negative is the train but didn't stop us from reaching out to stay an extra night.
