We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! "My friends and I had an amazing stay at this lovely house. Especially the outdoor area was beautiful and the pool was great! The house is just a 10 minute drive from a lovely town and shops for groceries. The hosts even organised for us to go horse-riding at their horse riding school which was a great experience. Overall, we loved our stay and had the great time. Eloïse and her father were a great help when we needed it and they were such lovely people!"

"This VRBO was perfect! We were just passing through the Tours area with a group of 5 adults. There were enough beds for everyone, the stairs were steep but quite fun to use as well! There is a bakery right beside, a grocery store within walking distance, and enough parking nearby! Super clean place and the coffee machine was a hit in the morning."

"Absolutely loved our stay here and cannot more highly recommend. No reception with a check-in only on your phone and no room keys was delightful and easy. Super easy check-out too just on your phone. Beautiful little French breakfast offered and a stunning terrace with views of the city and theatre. Perfect central location with paid parking just across the street. The room was enormous, clean, and comfortable. Will absolutely be back - love this gem of a hotel!"

Spacious rooms close to the Tours railway station.
"We enjoyed the spaciousness of our suite - very unusual in Europe. We got a lot of space for our money. There were a few details that needed attending to, such as not quite enough light when the drapes were drawn, and old chairs that were uncomfortable (but there were a couple that were comfortable), but it was possible to block out early morning light, and this is an important feature when you want to sleep in. The bed was huge and comfortable. My husband used the sofa bed in the sitting room, and it did not quite work, but it was comfortable when he put the mattress on the floor! Do not be put off by whatever construction is slowly happening in the foyer, and the resulting peculiar approach to the lift. This looks as if it is temporary. While the Grand may not have on overall luxurious atmosphere as it likely had in its early years, it WAS very good value. We used the train a lot to go up and down the Loire Valley, and the location was excellent for that. The area around the station felt safe, so no need to be put off by the proximity to the station."
