Trip to the Soo
Beautiful, well-maintained home! Very clean with lots of extra blankets and towels. Lots of room to park, and the fire-pit was nice for everyone to be able to hang out and relax after a long day. The owner was very friendly and helped to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Definitely would highly recommend to anyone looking for a large place for friends and family to be able to bunk together for a few days or more!

Myself, husband 2 kids- 17 & 12 along with my parents stayed here 7/24-29. Great location!! Close to everything Sault Ste Marie- shopping, amazing restaurants, boat tours, muesums, etc. The host was SOOOO easy to get a hold of and extremely helpful and kind! She left farm fresh eggs, bagels, etc for quick easy breakfasts. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of fans and a/c’s. Good parking for a few cars. I think the primary bathroom needs some sort of door or separation for privacy. There’s also room for more shelving/table for toiletries. The hous would benefit from updated furniture, fixed windows and coverings and a little bit of curb appeal. Other than that I would recommend anyone stay!

Soo 2023
The house was exactly as described. Perfect location to the Soo Locks and downtown Sault St Marie. Easy access to freeway for sight seeing at Oswald Bear Ranch Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point. Would book here again next time we are in the Upper Peninsula

Comfortable stay on Sault Saint Marie
The property was exactly as pictured. It is beautiful with comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and well-stocked kitchen. Barbara was wonderful with communication and unexpected breakfast supplies. We loved our stay! The only 2 things to mention are that there is no bathroom door in the master suite and we were unsure of the neighborhood at first but it was quiet and walkable to downtown. Well worth it to stay here and visit the Soo Locks.

Home vs Hotel
We chose this location because of a nearby training conference. We enjoyed the ability to walk wherever we went and the relaxing and comforting house. The house was great. I loved the décor and the comfort of the rooms. It was more cost effective to stay here than a hotel for our group and it allowed us a lot of time to meet in the common areas. Would highly recommend it.

Vintage 1880
This 1880 vintage home was very welcoming. The bathrooms have been updated and the whole house was very clean. We had four cars and no problems parking. This old house has the old home charm. There were three couple and a single adult. There was plenty of room for our whole party. Great stay

The place was GREAT. Had many amenities, more than most that I've stayed in. The host was very accomodating and very easy to get a hold of. You never had to wait for a response. The neigborhood felt safe and is walking distance to shopping, historic sites and resaurants. The outside grounds needed some work but it is the UP and it has just started to get nice out. I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer.

Exceeded any expectations!
This home was perfection! The home is beautiful and prepared for an amazing stay. Anything you needed was there! Kitchen was like being at home. The teas, coffee, and farm fresh eggs were such a great touch. So many towels. Extra blankets. If you thought you might need something, it was probably there. The beds were so comfortable. We were there for LSSU graduation and had four generations staying together. There was plenty of room to all be together and have our own space. It has been discussed by everyone that when we are lucky enough to return to the Soo, we will be staying here again!

Wonderful stay
Our stay at this house was wonderful. Very clean and space was plentiful. Kitchen contained pretty much anything you would need. The host even provided bagels and coffee for use. Highly recommended staying here!

Amazing house, wonderful experience
It is a beautiful 1888 house which does not feel old on the inside at all! It has a great cozy feel to it. Lots of room, lots of sheets, towels, blankets, and other bedding. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything necessary in abundance. It was very convenient! The host was very friendly through text, going beyond what was needed to be helpful and friendly. I would recommend this house wholeheartedly.

Perfect Place for your group to stay
This is a beautiful home in The Soo within walking distance to the Locks and all the unique shops, restaurants/bars and coffee houses. It has charming historical character with everything you need. The kitchen was fully stocked and the host even had some coffee and breakfast foods to greet us with. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of soft towels and extra blankets if needed. There were plenty of games to play while hanging out, too. The correspondence with the host was kind & prompt , and the host checked in on us durning our stay. I would highly recommend it for your group. Next time we have a large group, we’d book again!

Fall Train Trip
What a perfect affordable place for 4 couples to stay for a few days in Sault Ste Marie while we did the Agawa Canyon Train trip and local sight seeing. We had everything we needed, plenty of towels, blankets, pillow, paper products, cupboards stocked full of dishes, coffee cups, etc. Our host even checked in a few times with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Girls Weekend -we enjoyed the house!
We loved the house. Bedrooms and Baths were nice. Internet, TV, kitchen appliances all working, and plenty of plates, glasses and silverware. Close proximity to town!

Another comfortable stay
This was my second time staying at this property with a group of friends. There is plenty of room to spread out and the house is very well equipped and clean. We appreciated the breakfast selections as we were in town for a convention and our morning time was limited. Barbara is very quick to respond with any questions.

What a charming historical home
The house said welcome the minute you walked in. It was spacious and very clean. They had everything you need for cooking and supplied coffee, creamers, eggs and bagels. Saved me a trip to the grocery store. Communication wit the owner was easy and we had no issues. It’s a great place to stay when seeing the zoo lock area and walking distance to downtown area., locks and museums. Highly recommend this place. Dean

Charming historical home with modern bathrooms and kitchen
We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was super clean and bigger than we expected. Great location for all of our adventuring. Our host even had basic breakfast items already at the house so we did not have to make a store run after our long drive and was awesome about answering our questions at check in. Highly recommend.

Charming house, quiet neighborhood, great location for UP travel
We had a great four night stay at the house and everything went really well. Best feature for many of us (8 in the family) was how comfortable the beds, pillows and linens were. We all slept great! The house is quite charming with lots of character. Enough setting in the living room and had two bedrooms and one full bath on the main floor, other three bedrooms and two baths on the second floor. Kitchen and dining room well stocked. Backyard was shaded, narrow yet deep with lawn chairs, a grill and fire pit. The neighborhood was very quiet. If staying in the summer...there are two fans in the upstairs bedroom if needed and a few of the windows on each floor open. And our host, Barbara, was very helpful and immediately reachable if needed. We would definitely stay again if visiting the UP.

The house was very large and comfortable for our party of 6. The property manager, Barbara, was wonderful! Perfect spot - close enough to walk to the lock, but far enough to be out of the crowd.

Clean, Comfortable, and wonderful location.
House was clean and big enough for our group of 8 adults. Our host left us breakfast items for our stay and even had shampoo and body wash although we brought are own it was available should we have needed it. Plenty of towels and linens and the home was located close to a grocery store and many other convenient places. Would recommend this home.

Family wedding weekend
This house was very true to the area. Our family enjoyed visiting and gathering here over a wedding weekend. We walked downtown and around daily. The space is good for a couple families to stay comfortably.

Absolutely charming!
I cant say enough about this house, built in 1888, remodeled, beautiful and close to down town. It had such a welcoming and cozy feel and so much room with 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths, we almost felt guilty staying there with just the two of us and not bringing friends or family. The location is a perfect spot to see a wide range of the upper peninsula or stay closeby and enjoy the history and fun of Sault St. Marie. The hosts were wonderful and super helpful to any needs, even if it's just help finding great hiking locations, which we can't thank them enough for. We definitely plan to stay here again and look forward to it. Absolutely charming!

Great house for a group
House was great, with plenty of space to spread out. I loved the master with on suite bathroom and the twin room was great for my kids to share. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the kitchen, but it seemed to be stocked with the essentials (coffee pot was key for me!) Location was close to town and the boat launch, and felt safe enough for me to go running outside. No complaints here, we would stay again!

Clean and comfortable stay
My friends and I rented this location to attend a local convention. Very clean and spacious. We loved the historical details in the house like the stained glass windows! We were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of breakfast foods in the fridge. The owner promptly responded to any questions. Probably the only downside was lack of air conditioning upstairs. We had a couple of days where the temps were in the 80s and the upstairs bedrooms were quite warm and it was a bit difficult to sleep. Otherwise, we loved the house and are already booked for the same convention next year.

Excellent location and lovely homeowners
This house is in a great location in Sault Ste Marie. You can walk to the Tower of History from the house, and there are so many other places that are close by. It was incredibly convenient. The upstairs bedroom with the queen bed and the amazing rain shower was one of my favorite parts! Overall, my family and I had a great time in Sault Ste Marie, it was wonderful to have a nice house to stay in.

Great House and Location!
Lovely historic home and neighborhood. Location was perfect as my husband and I loved being able to walk to the locks, in and around town, and to the restaurants for lunch and dinners. House was super clean.......thanks for a great stay!

The house served our purpose very well. It was clean had a lot of character. The property lacked some TLC on the outside. The yard was not mowed, weeds growing up along the house on the driveway side, the outside door was not clean. When you pull up the first appearance makes you think what did I get myself into. However, the inside was clean and efficient.. It just needs some TLC inside and out.

Outstanding communication before and during our stay. The house is within walking distance of the Soo Locks Boat Tour, Tower of History, Valley Camp, and shops and restaurants. Delicious breakfast items were provided which were very welcome.

We were in town for a university event and this house was big enough for the whole family. Nice large dinning room table that was perfect for dinners and games. Host was great. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The charm of an old house was super fun.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Sault Saint Marie. We biked, hikes, fished, enjoyed games at the house, ate lots of food. On our way back we stopped at Mackinac Island, which was why we were looking at this area. We were also wanting to take a hike on a rugged Trail. We found a great one.

Girl’s weekend for LSSU hockey
We had a great weekend here. The house is charming and well equipped. Our host had breakfast supplies ready and was easy to communicate with. We do a girl’s weekend every year and everyone agreed that this was the most fun because we had a great spot to enjoy our time together. The beds were comfy, the big table was great for dominoes, and the location is convenient to all things in the Soo. We will definitely plan to return.
