He shows you around the cottage, a totally renovated annex of his old manor house. A living room with kitchen with all the comforts such as an excellent cooker, dishwasher and freezer/fridge combination.
The bathroom is spacious and there is a separate toilet. There is also a small storage room where you can store enough supplies for a fortnight.
The bed in the bedroom is small (140 cm) and you have to get used to that. But it works, especially as the bedroom and the whole house can be kept nice and cool even in summer.
But then comes the climax: the garden and the swimming pool. A very well maintained garden of about 1 hectare that you have all to yourself and the swimming pool of 11 by 5 metres complete this stay!
The pool, by the way, is Mr Lucien's pride and joy. Every morning, even several times a day, when the guests are not using it, he checks the water for algae, temperature, purity,... He replenishes water, runs the pool heating if necessary, ensures the cleanliness of the surrounding terrace, etc.
A final plus, actually plus, is the location. You stay in the countryside. You have a view of the magnificent garden, the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, you can hear the birds singing,...
