Extremely frustrating experience.

Great location. Rooms were nice but inside lock was broken and there was no shelf in the shower so soap had to be stored on the floor (??) The biggest issue by far was communication for entering the building. EACH time we entered, we had to prove we were guests of Hotel Charlie, it was completely unclear what type of document to show (sometimes passport, sometimes booking info, sometimes just our name). It could take up to 15 minutes (!!) of the doorman taking our documents, going inside, coming out again, looking at something else going back inside, etc. Also they said the doorman would be there 24/7 but about 30-40% of the time there was no one, and then you had to press a button and someone would speak to you in Portuguese so it was impossible to communicate if you do not speak the language. Sometimes no one was there and we had to just wait outside for long periods. I would highly recommend they put in a clear identification system. This was particularly difficult as we didn't speak Portuguese. Do NOT recommend, this was a horribly frustrating experience on a business trip, that stressed out our team. Also they do not clean your room or get any new towels unless you pay an extra fee and you can only pay with a Brazilian credit card. The room was clean when we arrived but staying a week with no cleaning service is disgusting.

AVOID! First, communication is complicated - there is no one to speak to at the property. Only Whatsapp. And the English counterpart is not that responsive. Second, the curtains are see-through. I had all the street lights inside and couldn't close an eye. I asked to change rooms or buildings but was told all curtains are the same. Then, I found a dirty underwear in the bedsheets. To this day, this has been the worst hotel experience ever. They stopped responding to me and to Expedia and until now I am still disputing the booking as I left immediately and booked a different hotel. The area is not the nicest part of Pinheiros and did not feel quite safe. I'd look for something close to / East of Fradique Coutinho station.

Nice bed. Has problems. Terrible Communication.

Clean with comfy bed and decent location (though loud if you have the balcony open). It has real problems, though, that I hope they can fix! I would stay again but not pay more than $40 per night. Communication is awful - you have to wait until they respond on Whatsapp - and reservations won't answer overnight. I never received my Charlie reservation number or room code by email (which is supposed to happen...), so I had to message them on the app and was left outside waiting for it via WhatsApp. At one point the code wasn't working, and I had to wait outside my room waiting for the keypad to reset. They only accept Brazilian credit cards to extend. The toilet seat and the shelf in the shower both were broken. They will not clean your room while you are staying there, but they gave me 2 more towels. You are given two nespresso pods of coffee for the entire stay and are not permitted more each day... You're also give ONE small bottle of water per stay, not per day. So: not "free water"! The furniture looks nice but is cheap.The wardrobe stunk of toxic chemicals (paint and particle board?), so I didn't put my clothes in it. I recommend they do a full treatment and let their wardrobes air out! Finally: No pool or gym access or option to pay for it even though it exists in the building... Poor design. Security isn't the most polite and doesn't speak English, so good luck getting into the bldg if you don't speak Portuguese!

Limpeza estava ótima,porém muitas coisas deixou a desejar no período de permanência chuveiro nao esquentava,agua na pia tambem nao esquentava, pia estava entupida,privada solta,pia da cozinha também estava entupida,pior de tudo a sacada nao abria estava trancada aonde impedia a ventilação e luz natural aonde ficava bem incômodo fica dentro do quarto tirando tudo isso,a localidade e excelente muitos estabelecimentos nas proximidades em fácil acesso...

O quarto estava muito limpo e arrumado. Gostei da localização. O que não gostei foi que passei o final de semana. Tem muito bar em frente. Fez um pouco de barulho para dormir. Senti falta de uma caneca para ferver água. Do restante estava perfeito. Tem conveniência dentro do prédio um em excelente supermercado bem próximo.

Cama boa, lençóis limpos, equipamentos do quarto (TV, geladeira, ar-condicionado) funcionando perfeitamente. Não estamos o fogão por indução. Cortinas ótimas. Entretanto, vimos pequenas baratinhas rondando o quarto e o banheiro em vários momentos. O chuveiro não é bom, quase nada de pressão. A entrada na acomodação foi ruim, a fechadura eletrônica estava quebrada, fazendo barulho estranho. A equipe do Charlie foi rápida em nos acomodar noutro quarto (justamente esse que foi descrito acima).

Há mais de 5 anos fico em diversos Charlies sempre que vou a SP, mas desta vez não recebi o check-in no Whatsapp, que é até 15h, e demoraram 45 min para resolver após o horário anunciado. Esqueci uns óculos no quarto e o que seria muito simples de resolver, inclusive porque havia um amigo na recepção do prédio para resgatá-lo, acabou se tornando impossível. Uma pena... No mais, venho constatando que os quartos no geral estão começando a degradar significativamente. Ainda assim o custo benefício é muito bom.

Tinha muito barulho e música alta no salão de festas. Não sei qual é a regra do prédio, mas o barulho foi até muito depois das 22h. Também achei ruim a forma de se registrar no prédio, que não é feito pela recepção, e sim por um segurança que fica do lado de fora passando informações pelo rádio.
