What a gem! Best location in the city, very recently renovated - and they did incredible job with that. Get the room with the panoramic view of the square, the extra cost totally worth it! Hotel rated 2*?? You’d wish your typical 4* hotel would be like this one.

Everything was excellent however the AC is in “winter mode” and I could hardly sleep at night because it was too hot. Everything else was excellent. Great location.

Beautiful rooms

Great location right on main square next to cathedral. Beautiful rooms, mix of modern and old stone walls. Love the shower. Check in lady was very nice and helpful.

What a stunning experience! The contrast of the (very tastefully) modern hotel on the historical town square is so beautifully done – especially in our room where the entire front wall is a window looking out onto the square (there are wall switches for automated privacy blackout blinds in handy spots around the room). The room layout was thoughtful, elegant and luxurious, although (like many hotels these days) it’s important to note the toilet is behind only a swinging glass door (not fully frosted) and the bathtub is in the main room (not a problem for a couple or solo guest, but wouldn’t work for other travellers). We were greeted very warmly on arrival and checkout, and also received tips beforehand on where to park nearby. We loved Hotel Plaza Obradoiro, and only wish we had a longer visit!

Overall I loved the property, and especially the people at the front desk. They were very kind and extremely helpful. There were a couple of issues. The air conditioning unit had to be re-booted and finally worked after a day. And my friend’s room on the first floor had a distinct odor or must or mold. But again - overall the location was fabulous for everything in Old Town of Santiago de Compostela.

This is one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed in for a while. Super location, but very quiet. The room was great — very well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel's location couldn't be more perfect for visiting the cathedral. It's literally right outside the door. Our room was really incredible. Nice size that allowed us to spread out some. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating even offering up places to eat. The breakfast was very satisfying and the coffee was superb. Parking is close by and the hotel provides a discount as well. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Santiago.

This hotel is just a few steps from Santiago Cathedral, best location impossible. The room was super modern, confortable, clean and the shower amazing. Breakfast buffet very good and the staff very friendly. Great option for staying at the end of your Camino or to visit Santiago de Compostela!
