The customer service of the staff is awesome! We appreciate all the support during check in and out and at dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The meals were so delicious 😋. The room was comfortable but the bathroom had a leak in the shower. We love the fact that they are across the beach!

The staff were a great help in extra amenities we needed. They would come and clean the room daily. The bodywah shampoo and conditioner were small for four people to a room and the AC did not work but they did provide fans for the room which was nice. Overall we did enjoy our stay and will come again. We love how close we were to the beach.

Location is awesome. Property is nice. Keeping in mind it is an older, quaint, independent property on the CA coast - this place is great for a stay along a drive up/down the coast. It’s not fancy; however it has everything you need including a view!

We really enjoyed our stay the room was clean and quiet. The area was well maintained, the pool looked inviting although we did not use it this time. The reception staff was friendly, and check in went quickly.

The outdoor property itself was well maintained. The rooms were spacious and we were able to rent a roll away bed. The carpet was very dirty, my kids feet were black from walking on it. The bathrooms were dated and a bit grimy. The corners/edges/crevices needed a good scrubbing. The rooms had a great size fridge and it would have been nice to have a microwave too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was what we needed for one night, but not for additional nights. Family with 2 kids.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The value for the price was remarkable. The beach was directly across the street, and we even had a lovely view of it from our ground-floor room. It was exceptionally dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. There were poop-bag stations throughout the property, and the restaurant offered outdoor seating where dogs were welcome. They even brought our dog a bowl of water at the table—a thoughtful touch! We were also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgraded room and were given the choice of staying upstairs or downstairs. We would highly recommend this wonderful spot in San Simeon. It was a great value, in a fantastic location, and made traveling with our dog especially easy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Great tips. I was traveling on my own and felt very safe. Hotel was very clean. I loved my ocean view. It was exactly what I expected and I would stay there again. I wish that smoking was not allowed so close to the hotel. I wanted to open my window and feel the ocean breeze but didn’t enjoy the waft of cigarette smoke from downstairs. And this was even at 7:45am

They have a car charger level 2 on site which is helpful for topping off before you head up into Big Sur if you own an EV. It's about a 5-minute walk to a beach and a beautiful sunset.

This is a good stay for 1 or 2 nights tops. I would not recommend beyond that. Cons: there is NO CEILING FAN, making the room very hot during the day if it's summer and it's hot outside, like we just experienced. If you open the window you do get a decent breeze but not good enough, and also you sacrifice privacy as other guests walk by your window somewhat frequently. The hotel provided a very tiny plug-in fan, to be honest kind of useless. Pros: Parking included and location is very good as in the middle of a lot of sight seeing areas like hearst castle and the lighthouse.
