"La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. The owners, Charles and Peter, were an absolute delight. We talked through the entire breakfast and Charles even joined us one day for breakfast. The staff was also delightful. Mauricio was so friendly and so kind. He visited us one evening, with his wife, and we just chatted for about 2 hours. We saw him every day. All personnel were totally available at all times. The breakfasts were amazing. They were different each day and, wow, so delicious. Parking is free and was right in front of the apartment. I can usually find at least one negative in every place we stay but, alas (LOL), I can’t find a thing here. It was perfect. Definitely returning here on our next visit. You should too!!!"

"En lo positivo: el lugar es encantador. Las cabañas muy cómodas y bien dispuestas, con gran cantidad de cosas de utilidad. La joven que nos atendió en el bar y en el restaurante verdaderamente encantadora. La cena fue muy apetitosa y recomendada. Sin duda recomiendo la experiencia de ir hasta Villa Blanca para descansar. En temas para considerar: Deberían advertir que los 2 kilómetros antes de ingresar a la propiedad requieren de un auto alto, porque la calle está verdaderamente en mal estado. El joven que nos hizo el check-in no se mostró particularmente entusiasmado en dar información sobre actividades para realizar en el hotel. Nada más remitió al QR. A pesar de que llegamos a las 3:05 p.m. y había una clase para las 3:00 p.m. en el bar y preguntamos por ella, el joven nos dio a entender que ya había comenzado la clase y no podíamos integrarnos. No nos alertó que a partir de esa hora había la posibilidad de tomar café en el lobby del hotel. Por otro lado, no dicen en ningún lado que el SPA requiere que se contacte a las personas encargadas a ver si pueden llegar al hotel a prestar el servicio. Deberían alertar que se requiere reservación previa por esta situación. El desayuno fue muy completo en cantidad de comida, pero los huevos estaban pasados de cocción y los hashbrows sabían a paquete. Muy molesto tener que estarle quitando el agua al calentador eléctrico del cuarto. También lamento que no tuviera la habitación una pequeña refrigeradora."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return."

"The staff and employees truly made our experience exceptional. The company should recognize just how important its people are to the success of the business. Any time we had any major concerns (and we had a couple), it was addressed immediately, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. What stood out most was how committed they were to providing an outstanding guest experience. This included the housekeeping team, manager, bell staff, restaurant and bar personnel, pool staff, spa and massage team, as well as Mitchell, Adam, Marcus, Massiel, Roy, Tony, and other teams member. Everyone we interacted with was professional, attentive, and genuinely focused on delivering excellent service.Because of the people who work here, we will absolutely return. They made a lasting impression and were the reason our stay was so enjoyable."

"The overall property is very beautiful, located in a forest setting. The open air restaurant with its observation deck is a great place for birdwatching since there are feeders at the edge of the deck and the staff puts out fruit and seeds early when the birds are active. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly! And the location is very near the river tours and Carara National Park. The only negative thing we can offer is that the standard room is very basic, and shows some signs of needing renovation. We had no hanging closet and no furniture with drawers, so were living out of our suitcases. Still, we loved everything else and would return, but maybe try to get an upgraded room. My overall summary: a 5 star experience, with a 3 star room. Pura Vida!"
