"Wendy’s place in was lovely, the pool was fun for cooling off and the house supplied with all the necessary cooking appliances. Wendy was quick to respond to communications and helped with any needs we had. There was a small issue with the security at the entrance not letting us in despite having our names on a list, but Wendy was quick to help resolve the issue. It is definitely a secure, quiet neighborhood. "

"We had a great time at this property. The staff was so kind and full of energy. I loved the fact that they kept the whole place clean, even the pool bathrooms, which is a plus for me. The beach was nice, even though I was expecting it to be clearer but it was still nice and no sargassum whatsoever. I also loved the fact that there weren’t a lot of waves, the water was calm. We did get stung by a jellyfish. I loved that there were chairs not only at the pool but at the beach also. There was always a Buffett available from the morning to dinner time. The food wasn’t bad but some of it was bland. It may just be me. There were a lot of desserts to choose from and the ice cream was amazing! I did like that there was a lot to choose from and they even had a small selection of Dominican food. Just come prepared with important items like sunscreen or a razor because they were crazy expensive here. Overall I had a great experience. "

Hotel Casa Hemingway

"Hotel Hemingway was a beautiful place, short walk across the street to their sister property Club Hemingway with access to the beach and short walk to an excellent Argentinian restaurant called Paladart. Service was excellent from the gentleman at front desk (sorry I forgot his name). There is some construction on a sidewalk in between the hotel but they were done by 5ish."

"Hodelpa is a nice place with great staff. All inclusive is not at the level of others, but you are not paying a huge All Inclucive fee either. It is not all day eat and drink. The price reflects this. It is very adequate for anybody not wanting to worry about eat and drinks. We were in a group of about 25 people and everyone was satisfied with what you get for the price paid. As I stated earlier the staff is great. Hodelpa is an old Embassy Suites. So if you have ever been to one of those you should understand both the building and room layout. I won't say it is a negative, but they do have music and some kind of entertainment that goes until about 11pm each night. Depending on where your room is and if you want to go to sleep before that time, you may be bothered. We just accepted it and figured it is the Dominican way. They like to have a good time. The Hotel is set within a private residental community. It is quiet and safe. Once again the staff were GREAT."
