Another wonderful stay

We have stayed at the farm house now several times, and every time it is extremely comfortable, clean, quiet, and relaxing. We have two more trips planned for this year because we love it so much.

Peaceful place in SLO

We were visiting our son at Cal Poly and wanted to experience something different from our previous stays around town. This property is wonderful! It is peaceful and charming and allows you to really soak in just how special San Luis Obispo is. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy viewing the local wildlife.

Beautiful Weekend Getaway

Just walk out the door to see the sunrise. Cute farmhouse will everything you need. Gorgeous surroundings and the sounds of nature.

Excellent Historic Home

Once checked in we didn’t want to leave. We had a wedding weekend to attend which was wonderful but would have loved to spend more time at the home! It was perfect to relax and watch the wildlife from the porch!

Magical!

This is our second stay at the farmhouse and we just had the best time! Perfect place to do all you day adventures and come home to unwind in wilderness. This is our favorite place and we will def be back again soon!

Great getaway!

Beautiful!

Stunning quiet farmhouse! Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and all you need for a few days to unwind and reconnect to nature. We saw turkeys, deer, and squirrels! Loved every minute!

The where am I feeling!

Escaping for a weekend from Southern Cal to Central California at this location was everything! The feeling of space, of nature of owls flying, and making their wonderful sounds. No one in sight, but beautiful San Luis Obispo Hills around us; we were refreshed and renewed from this simple and beautiful space!

Such a special place!

Loved our time in the little red house. Perfect for three of us - couple and adult daughter - plus our dogs. Very close to SLO yet out in the wilderness. Deer, turkeys, coyotes (heard not seen), and an abundance of squirrels! Hope to return here.

Close yet far away

The view out of every window was so beautiful, to think you can wake up on a farm surrounded by nothing but nature and animals and be in downtown SLO in 15 minutes … amazing. We loved the comfy beds, kitchen had everything we needed and the house itself seemed larger than in the pictures. It was like living on a movie set for a week!

Fantastic Stay!

This property is exactly as they advertise. If you want a quiet, secluded stay that’s close to SLO, this is your spot. Wide open country surrounds you and the house is big enough for a family. We cooked out and had a very peaceful stay with family. For being the middle of July, it cooled down nicely in the evening and if you open the windows and turn the fans on you’ll never miss your air conditioner. We would 10 out of 10 recommend this VRBO.

Great and Peaceful Place

This was our 3rd time at this peaceful farmhouse with dogs - very relaxing and I'm sure we'll be back. WiFi is via satellite so a wee bit slow but you won't want to work there anyway.

Simply Amazing

This has to be one of the most amazing VRBO properties we have stayed in. The house is so comfortable, warm and inviting that we felt at home right away. The private location, beautiful views and complete peace and quiet was just what we were looking for. Waking up to see deer and wild turkeys outside the house was really a treat. It was so great to stay in a place that was so isolated and peaceful but just a short drive from all San Luis Obispo and the Central Coast has to offer. This was truly a unique experience we hope to enjoy again one day.

A beautiful and unique place to stay

This is one of the most memorable and wonderful places we have ever stayed. I was with my husband and two teenage sons, and everyone loved it. The farmhouse is beautiful and very comfortable - historic but with all the modern amenities and comforts. The location is spectacular, with total privacy and beautiful views of the hills around. We loved watching the deer, turkeys, birds, and squirrels and sat outside for hours enjoying the scenery. I would recommend it to anyone, and we are planning to come back for sure.

Beautiful location

Stayed here with my husband and our two dogs. The property was beautiful. House was comfortable. Kitchen was updated and spacious. Saw deer roaming around the house everyday. The dogs enjoyed going for walks around the house and going to the creek that was close by. Would recommend if your looking for a private place to relax.

Bucolic setting

So enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! Clean, comfortable and beautiful surroundings. We were met with turkeys right outside the house every morning. Saw deer on the hills at sunset. We even used the outdoor grill to barbecue steaks from the Cal Poly Meat Market down the road! Usually grills at rentals are far from clean! Chuck was very responsive and helpful with tips for our stay. Thank you!

Tranquil, secluded retreat

Completely secluded, beautiful ranch with nothing in sight but rolling hills, a wooded creek, and a few cows grazing on a distant hillside. Chairs on north- and east-facing porch offer lovely views. A walk over the creek and up the ridge affords expansive views of stretching to the ocean and Moro Rock. House is very comfortable with an excellent kitchen. Only quibble was that two sets of salt and pepper shakers on the table were empty; we found salt in the cabinet but no pepper. And we would have appreciated better and bigger towels. But this was a lovely and memorable rental.

A little piece of heaven

I hesitate to write this review because I don’t want everyone knowing about this place so it is available when we want to go back. Ha! We stayed here when we moved our daughter in to Cal Poly. It is so peaceful and quiet. What a refuge!! The beds were super comfortable and the outdoor area was great. We enjoyed the passing cows and did t want to leave. We hope to return soon! Thank you!
