"Hotel Pasatiempo is right in town and walking distance to many restaurants, live music and the beach and at the same time it feels like a lush oasis. Lots of beautiful palm trees and plenty of wildlife like iguanas and monkey visits in the mornings. Very quiet considering how close you are to everything. "

"A very precious hotel. Quiet relaxed wellness vibe. Booked here for the yoga and sound baths, and loved the experience. There is no gym but they allow you to use the yoga pavilion and they have weights maths and equipment you can use. We truly love that. Lovely pool area. Breakfast is fantastic quality and included cook to order eggs lots of variety. We really look forward to it every morning. The breakfast stuff is great. Our room was very clean with two sinks gorgeous bathtub the beach has spectacular sunsets over lava rocks great restaurants walking distance. Sofia was our favorite. Front desktop was very helpful and eager. The biggest area for improvement is bar staff. Many times we had to wait while standing directly in front of them just to be acknowledged. That made us feel small and unseen. I hate to say it but bar staff seemed more interested in chatting with eachother rather than the guests. "

"Spotless room, comfortable bed, very quiet! Juan Carlos was very welcoming and helpful. Cold filtered water and coffee available all the time. Breakfast was very good “muey bueno” Easy walk to restaurants and 15-20 minute walk to the beach. Very peaceful place to stay!"

"We stayed in the 4-bedroom family suite and absolutely loved it. There was lots of space for our group, with a large common living area that made it easy to spend time together. The dining table was generously sized, and we really appreciated the ample seating on the balcony/terrace. The fridge is a larger bar-sized fridge, which worked perfectly well for our needs. The coffee and tea station was a lovely touch, and having a sink in the common area was very convenient. Overall, the suite felt spacious, comfortable, and very well designed for families or groups."

"Rooms were great! AC worked amazingly. Margie at the front desk was so helpful with luggage storage and making us feel comfortable. The pool was great and there is an outdoor shower. Breakfast was unreal, many options with the traditional breakfast and coffee was great too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheeper stay in Tamarindo with easy access to the beach and downtown. "
