This property is a great value. And the location is perfect for those on a Padre Pio pilgrimage. Sometimes language can be an issue in dealing with the staff (that is not their fault) but it is clear that the staff truly cares.

Shower was tight and parking was not free

San Pio Hotel was perfectly located within 5 minutes to the main church of Maria delle Grazie. The staff especially Pierre and Asia were very helpful. The room was ideal for couple. The biggest downside was the size of the shower. I am 6ft 200lb person and it was tight in there. If you accidentally drop your bar soup, it will be difficult to pick it up with it's narrow 2ft x 2ft space. Another downer was that the website did not mention that there willbe an additional 12 euros daily charge for parking the car in their premises. I picked this place because of its location and it had parking. I was used to free parking in our previous hotels during my prior 3 visits to San Giovanni.

The professional but friendly greeting at the reception; the inviting and clean room; the healthy breakfast menu... but most of all, the proximity of the hotel to the San Padre Pio shrine. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
