Very comfortable stay. Low season so we felt like the only guests in the hotel. Good selection of local produce at breakfast. The check-in and ‘tour’ was a bit rushed. Only offered to assist with luggage once we’d reached the room.. however they were very kind to offer us a late check out.

Absolutely loved the experience we had with this spa villa! Beautiful grounds pools and dinning experience. Staff were very welcoming and always attentive. My only negative thought on this property would be the cost to using the spa at 40 euros pp not per room. Otherwise an exceptional stay!

Villa Sanpaolo was a perfect hotel base for our family from which to explore Tuscany. Our three rooms were comfortable and the facilities are great. We took a variety of day trips to many places within easy reach: Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and the Chianti region towns. The hotel staff are friendly and always willing to make suggestions for places to visit, things to do, or book restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.

This luxury property is located on a hill in the Tuscan countryside, accessible via a windind road so its not walkable or convenient to anything else. But the incredible views, scenery and indoor spa made up for that. Its the only 4/5 star hotel near San Gimigiano i could find and the front desk staff were lovely and very helpful. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were good.

2 nights stay. First impression was: we are entering what was probably a nice hotel in the nineties. Good: dinner on the large restaurant was excellent. Bad: the confirmed city view was not there. The extra noise insulated room was not that! Not so important for use but the wellness and spa area was only accessible 3 hours and thereafter we would be charged separately. Some guest had issues with that. The taxi service with which the hotel is collaborating does not accept credit cards

check carefully what you have booked and included.

The hotel is in a good location with nice views and easy access to San Gimignano. The rooms are comfortably furnished but a little dated. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children that specifically requested two twin bedded rooms. On arrival we were given 2 doubles and after protesting we were offered one twin room but told we would have to pay 100 euros extra for the upgrade despite twin rooms offered and booked on Hotels.com. They then suggested 80 euros. With two children we were not in a position to find another hotel. On checkout after complaining the reception lady took the amount of bill after refusing to pay it. Also there is no mention on the Hotels.com listing that extra charges are applicable for use of the spa facilities. We were charged 25 euros per adult for a 2 hour session in the pool, sauna, steam room. This should be made clear. We felt we were paying premium rates which included the use of this facility. If we had not encountered these problems I’m sure our stay would have been more enjoyable.
