It was clean. We basically had everything we needed. The couch in the living room as seen better days. The padding is thin so it's not comfy. The mats in the bathroom and bedroom are well overdue for a change. The mattress was firm, but not great. The hightop table was decent. The owner was polite.

Perfect one bedroom flat. Had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood. One block from the bay. Two blocks from a wonderful coffee shop and resturant. Close to many activities. Will stay there again.

Cozy and quaint!

I would highly recommend this 1 bedroom rental for 2 people! We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it certainly met our needs. It was so nice to have a garage, due to lack of on-street parking.

Nice Stay

The apartment was clean and adequately equipped. The garage space worked great for our small rental car. The neighborhood pleasant and quiet. The kitchen appliances are showing some age, but all function as designed. Communication and transaction with owner was excellent.

Just Right

This was my first time visiting San Diego and I did not know where to stay. After looking at the hotels, I decided to try HomeAway. I could not have been happier. The apartment is exactly as described. It is a quiet cottage in Pacific Beach. It was absolutely perfect. It was only two blocks away from the beach on the bayside. You could go there and spend the day. Everything in the apartment was perfect. The owners made sure you felt at home and provided beyond what I had expected. I can not say enough about the place and the quality of care to which I experienced. If you are looking for a quiet place where you can enjoy yourself without putting up with the crazy beach scene, this is the absolute perfect place for you.

Great stay, exactly as advertised.

We had a great stay here! It was clean and offered exactly what we wanted. Clean place, parking and a nice deck for happy hour. The only things it could have had extra were coolers and fold-up chairs for the beach, as we did not bring any coming from abroad. Would highly recommend!

Older cute little place with everything that is needed.

A great outdoor private patio to enjoy. Simple practical furnishings.Queen bed comfortable yet, mattress cover a bit noisey. Loved lockable garage! Would gladly book again.

Very quiet cottage

Thank you Mike and Gina for sharing your place with us. We had a great time and found your place to be everything we needed. The garage was just perfect for storing our kayak trailer. That gave us piece of mind knowing that we did not have to leave it on the street. Having been to San Diego a few times we knew the area and found your place to be located just right. Found the deck perfect for relaxing after playing all day. Michael and Grace.

Cozy Crown Point Cottage

My husband & I booked this place mostly because of it's location. Our daughter joined us and there is plenty of room for 3 adults or even a couple children. We've stayed by the beach a few times and it's a little noisy. This place was quiet and clean. Still not far from the beach and also a quick walk to the bay. Loved sitting outside on the deck with morning coffee or in the afternoon/evening with a beverage. Loved the fact there was a few local restaurants and some stores within walking distance. Would stay here again for sure!

Great location

The location of this apartment is great for us; walking distance to the bay at Crown Point and makes for a wonderful walk along the bay and even to the beach for a longer walk. It is close to all San Diego attractions by car. It is quiet and comfortable. Just perfect for two of us.

Very Nice

We were pleased with the property and it did live up to its description. Overall, we were comfortable during our stay and everything we needed was provided. The only thing we noticed is that some of the furniture was a bit low to the floor for comfortable sitting and rising, but that's because we are older. 30, 40, and even 50 somethings would not have a problem with that aspect. The TV screen was quite small and a larger one would have been nice, but not essential. We have a mid-size car and although it fit in the garage, it was pretty tight driving in and out of the garage and there was little room to spare inside; a compact would be best. These were minor things. We were quite happy with the cleanliness and customer service. The porch light went out on our second night so we mentioned it to the owner and the bulb was replaced immediately the next morning. We were happy with the availability of activities, attractions and restaurants nearby, including the closeness of the beach. The neighborhood was also relatively quiet, which was nice. We would definitely recommend the property to others.

Quiet and Accessible Location

I was competing nearby in Mission Valley and needed a place that was close by but far enough away to be quiet and comfortable. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I to relax, walk to great food and enjoy Pacific Beach as well as get to my competition in a timely manner. The neighborhood was cute and quiet. The air conditioning was a welcome surprise! To have the garage to park in was also a huge bonus as street parking was sparse.

Cozy & Comfortable

Our stay here was very very comfortable and private. We only saw the owners (who live directly in front) in passing once. The place nothing fancy but was extremely clean and tidy with all the necessary amenities & just as described. We were in town for our son's graduation and chose this place mostly because it was right next door to his place! Which made all of our weekend plans so much easier. In spite of that however, the cottage was perfect in every way. Small, modest, clean, very comfortable queen bed, nice bathroom with towels/shampoo/conditioner & blow dryer. There was a bottle of water in the frig, a small coffee maker and ground coffee provided along with packets of sugar & creamer. The TV provided local channels which was fine with us. The place is in the back of the main house, off the alley on a fairly quiet street. The neighborhood was somewhat active but surprisingly quiet at night. Location was perfect for walking to the bay and a few very nice and fun places to eat in the area. Great well stocked neighborhood store a couple of blocks away. We would highly reccomend staying here.

Great little find near the beach

This small but comfortable apartment is a real find in Pacific Beach. The location is great, with quiet streets and very close proximity to the bay and waterfront. The breezes flow through the windows and keep things cool, while the sun shines in. Nice little deck to enjoy in the morning sin for coffee or afternoon shade. It is very cozy but the perfect place to be when you are spending most of your time outside anyway. Very clean and efficient. The owners greeted us and were very friendly. Beach, boardwalk, lots of eateries are within walking distance. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that it is small - but great otherwise.

Modest "Carriage House" Apartment

This place served the two of us well as a home base for several days of touring the San Diego area. Living space is small but perfectly adequate for two -- might be pretty cramped for more people. On arrival, the owner met us and showed us around, and then was accessible for any questions that came up during our stay. Because it's located in a close-packed residential neighborhood, on-street parking can be challenging at best, but the property's garage accomodates a normal-size sedan. We enjoyed the bay-front park just two blocks away. Overall, we found it to be as advertised, and a good value at the price. We'd recommend it to friends if, like us, they were not looking to be close to attractions or night life.
