Great weekend getaway!

Two girlfriends and I came up to attend the NY Sheep & Wool festival in Rhinebeck. The location was perfect. Close enough to get places easily but remote enough that it was quiet and peaceful. We look forward to staying again in the future.

This was the perfect quiet getaway from the city. The property is gorgeous and home is lovely, clean, and as pictured. Rebecca welcomed us wine, cheese and crackers, which was such a lovely surprise. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Peaceful spot for a fall getaway

The property was exactly as advertised. Very quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Nice ammenities were provided by the owners. We went to the NYS Sheep and Wool festival. The location was ideal to reach the Duchess county fairgrounds for the event in 20 minutes and no bridge to cross so no bridge traffic delays. We and our lab loved walking the grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

Getaway Gem

Even though the pictures and description of the property are accurate, you really can't believe how serene and beautiful it is each time the guest house comes into view. Lots of space for everything, and plenty of room to relax. We enjoyed feeling like we were out in the country, while being no more than 20 minutes from most things we wanted to do (Vassar, wine-tasting, breweries, hikes).

Beautiful country retreat

What a gorgeous setting for a New York vacation! The Summer Fox Home was our first 3 day stop as we toured the east side of the Hudson Valley! All agreed that 3 days wasn’t enough time at this beautiful and peaceful horse ranch. The host, Rebecca, was extremely helpful and resourceful offering suggestions to our group. A welcome treat was a chilled bottle of wine along with delicious cheese and crackers! We highly recommend the Summer Fox Home for anyone who wants a heavenly getaway. No doubt, this was our favorite!

We had a wonderful stay at the Salt Point Guest House. The house was clean, but a little dated; however that’s what was charming about it. The property is beautiful and the communication I had with the owner was great. The one thing they need to do is trim the trees along the driveway. The branches were hanging low and scratched up the roof on our rental car. Other then that, it was darn near perfect.

super quiet and peaceful...the house was spacious....and clean....we only slept there ...we never cooked...but it had all the kitchen gadgets you might need.....having one bathroom for 3 bedrooms was very difficult....no ensuite...2th bathroom located at the basement....no mirrors and dressers at the bedrooms was not good at all....only one small mirror at the living room...other than that it was great!!

Beautiful place to stay!

We stayed here while in the area for a family reunion, and it was perfect. The house is very clean and the setting is gorgeous. My sons loved seeing the horses and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking coffee in the mornings. I would recommend this house!

From the abundant Hydrangeas along the front steps to the flora and fauna from the back deck, this was a total winner. We baked a birthday cake, made breakfasts and relaxed inside and out. In the heart of Apple orchard country and nearby landmarks along the Hudson, this was an ideal location and accommodation.
