The spectacular garden is one of the biggest attractions at Stone House. It was built in stages over the last 20 years and is designed to resemble a French parterre garden. With the idea of having something blooming for every guest, the garden usually has numerous blooms in all four seasons. The thousands of bricks that form the pathways were brought in from different places in DC and Maryland – some date to the early 1800s. If you are a bird watcher, you will truly enjoy watching them play in the garden! And if you like nice surprises, you might see some of our resident tortoises that hatch babies in the garden.

Once part of thousands of farm acres, it now has 2.5 acres – and they are lots of fun!
