I stayed here for two weeks and overall had a decent stay, but there are a few things future guests should know.
The cabin is functional and equipped with the essentials. The kitchen includes a stove, dishwasher, toaster, filter coffee machine, basic pots, one frying pan, cutlery and crockery. The Wi-Fi was stable throughout my stay, and the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and outdoor activities.
However, there are also some downsides. Although advertised as being in Sälen, the accommodation is actually located in Stöten. Parking is not available directly in front of the cabin; I had to use the nearby parking area.
At 34 m², the cabin is quite compact. The bedrooms are very small and may not be comfortable for larger adults. Storage space is limited to two small wardrobe niches.
The mattress and the sofa were very soft and felt worn. Cleanliness was acceptable, but there were spider webs and dead insects on several walls. The bathroom was functional but basic.
The listing should also be updated. A barbecue was advertised but was not available. The electric heaters had been switched off at the circuit breaker, so the cabin was quite cold during the first days of my stay until I discovered the issue. In addition, the drying cabinet leaked water when used.
Overall, the cabin is a practical base for exploring the area, but several details could be improved to better match the description and provide a more comfortable stay.
