Le Belvedere

4/10 Poor

"Meeting Date/Time: Monday 18 May 2026, 8.00am GMT Really disappointing stay overall. We arrived to a very strong sour milk smell in the room, which made the whole room feel unpleasant from the start. The room itself also looked very tired and was overlooked by tourists, so there was very little privacy. The facilities were lacking for the price - there was no fridge, no water glasses, no kettle, tea, coffee or any way to make a hot drink in the room. There were two young men working in the restaurant/bar area who were very helpful and polite throughout our stay. Unfortunately, this was completely overshadowed by the lady who checked us out, who was incredibly rude and raised her voice during the interaction. We also ate in the restaurant and the potatoes were completely raw. Neither of us could eat them. We informed a member of staff at the time, and we also noticed other tables sending theirs back as well. Despite this, we were still charged full price for the meals. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and unfortunately we won’t be returning."

"The room was very clean and the area was quiet. We left before breakfast so no rating there. The Château restaurant was not open, perhaps because it is April? However, Ginette Restaurant was open one night and it was quite good. The location is fantastic for the cathedral. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants and shops in town but the walk is beautiful."

"Great location and a really lovely hotel. We stayed in Room 16, which overlooks the courtyard and has a beautiful view of the Citadel of Rocamadour, especially at night when it’s all lit up. Dropping our bags off was very straightforward thanks to the hotel’s drop-off point, and we were lucky enough to find parking on the nearby street. The steps leading back up to the hotel were easy enough to manage. The only slight downside was the pillows, which were a little on the lumpy side. Aside from that, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it."

"Les Esclargies is a truly beautiful hotel perfectly located in Rocamadour. Martine, Adrien, and their team are magnificent and helpful hosts. Breakfast is superb, parking is easy and the design and location of Les Esclargies is in one of the most beautiful locations in France. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Medieval village and so many beautiful and natural scenery."

"I highly recommend this place for its location. Has friendly staff. They accommodated us for early check in. Matthieu was very helpful in arranging our transportation from the train station to the hotel and back. Our room has all the essentials, with the garden view, and enough space for a sitting area. Clean room and comfortable bed. "
