Enjoy an oasis escape in the middle of suburbia. Come and feel the escape. Beautiful view of a romantic willow tree surrounded pond from the back yard. Family friendly. 15 minutes to downtown Sacramento, 5 minutes from Sacramento McClellan Airport, 20 minutes to Sacramento International Airport.

Within driving distance from some of the California greats. Adorable quaint mountain towns, gold mines and Lake Tahoe. A few hrs from San Francisco, Sausalito and the beautiful California coast.

  • he Aerospace Museum of California is an aviation museum located in North Highlands, California on the grounds of the former McClellan Air Force Base. It features displays of authentic military and civilian aircraft as well as space vehicle replicas. It preserves the history and mission of this former base as well as those of neighboring bases like Beale (active) and Mather (closed) Air Force Bases. McClellan Air Force Base closed in 2001 and became McClellan Airfield, a civil aviation airport. he museum has over 40 aircraft in its collection from the fully restored, one-of-a-kind 1932 Curtiss Wright B-14B Speedwing to one of the last Grumman F-14D Tomcat retired from U.S. Navy service in 2006. In addition to aircraft, the collection includes many other historic artifacts relating to Sacramento's aerospace heritage. It also houses an extensive collection of historic aircraft engines. These include examples ranging from a World War I-era Gnome-Rhone rotary piston engine to the Pratt & Whitney nine-stage, axial-flow, bypass J-58 turbojet that propelled the SR-71 Blackbird supersonic spyplane. The museum features an art gallery containing more than 60 original works, many on loan from the Air Force Art Collection. The museum's restoration team is nearing completion of a Fairchild PT-19B World War II training aircraft. With new exhibits opening regularly, the Aerospace Museum is a wonderful place to explore the history of aviation

Check in/out was super easy. Host was on top of check-in instructions. The property was perfect for my pup, there was a nice backyard. The entire place is quiet, scenic and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again.

Back yard was even more beautiful than the pictures. The back yard is really serene. There is a very large porch roof that covers a large area which keeps it very cool if you want to sit out in the back yard in the heat of the day. The backyard patio furniture was sturdy and comfortable. The house was very nice and clean. The bedding and beds were comfortable. There was a bit of a sewer smell along the back side of the house. I think it was maybe the septic system. It wasn’t ever-present but it would catch me by surprise every once in a while. The kitchen had good utensils, pots, pans, fridge and microwave. There is no dishwasher and the plates (while very nice) had small ridges around the edge that were a bit difficult to clean by hand. Also, there isn’t a garbage disposal so be careful to get everything off of your dishes before washing. There is a nice washer/dryer set in the garage. The neighborhood is rural and very quiet. I felt very safe there by myself (before my husband joined me). There are a lot of farm animal noises early in the morning but you only hear it if you go outside around 6:00 a.m. It was really charming to hear those sounds first thing in the morning. I would definitely stay in this home again.

Just what we needed

Here's a review you can use for your VRBO experience:---We needed a place to stay for the night, and this house fit our needs perfectly! It was clean and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The backyard was especially delightful, offering a lovely spot to relax and unwind. Overall, it worked out very well for us, and we would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a cozy getaway.

Yep, it's an Oasis

This home was a great find! It's close to Sacramento but just far enough to be in another world. A bit up the road you're entering the mountainous, wooded Northern California experience. The home had all you would need in a very tasteful setting.

Candy cane cluster dog show

Myself and 3 friends all coming to compete at dog show stayed at this location. It is a nice little house with a great yard. It’s about a half hour away from Fairgrounds so was not a bad commute. Quiet and comfortable. If I come down again I would try to stay there again.
