Park your boat in front of the Fishermen's Cottage! Screened in patio.

This is a Fishing Cottage right on the water. You are able to park your boat in front of the Fishing Cottage. A screened in porch with a table is attached to the cabin. There is a fish cleaning table for all those big fish you are going to catch! About 11 miles down the old beach road is a bird watching refuge for all you avid bird watchers. This Cottage is two bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the second bedroom. Living room has a sofa with a queen size pullout bed. Big screen TV and two nice size recliners for your enjoyment. It also has a desk with plugins for your chargers. Kitchen has all your necessary cooking supplies for those fantastic meals. Coffee is supplied. Refrigerator has an ice maker, stove has an air fryer setting for the oven. Shampoo and body wash are on hand for your use. There is no smoking inside the cabin, we have provided smoking receptacles on the outside of the Cottage and in porch area. There is a BBQ pit outside of the cabin. There are designated fishing areas to catch those big fish. We want your experience to be enjoyable, a suggestion box will be available in the cabin for your input.

  • Due to work I don't have an opportunity to get out and shoot for about 5 months out of the year. This is the first shot I've uploaded in awhile. Had a chance to get away and travel this past weekend and went off the beaten path to a place I've always wanted to go. Texas Highway 87 used to run along the coast from Sabine Pass down to Point Bolivar. Many of hurricane have washed this road out time after time and it was rebuilt over and over again until finally in 1990 the state of Texas said no more. In places it has been totally reclaimed by the gulf and mother nature but there are a few reaming spots where the old road still peaks through the sand and grass. It takes a hike but is pretty cool to see the old remains in this remote stretch of Texas. #road #oldroad #texas #deserted

Awesome location

Location was key since we were there with our boat. Ramp is located about 1/2 away from the cabin. Very clean and even offered some fishing at night under the lights. Screened in porch was great once the bugs started moving.

We loves our stay here!! The cabin was clean and the staff was all great!! The lids had a blast fishing and hanginh put in the screened porch. Just don't forget inswct repellent for mesquitoes they were aweful. Will definatly be back.

The cottage was just what we needed as a place to stay for a draw hunt in a wildlife management area. It was very clean and everyone was very helpful. They even swung by just to make sure we were settled and that we didn’t need anything else. Very friendly and great staff. Very pleased and would definitely make a trip again!

Quick fishing getaway

Great fishing getaway spot!

Well appointed with very nice, new appliances, the Port Authority cabin is exactly what the travelling angler needs. Comfortable beds, ample linens/ towels, and fast Wi-Fi/ streaming TV. Our guide kept his boat in the harbor, and even the self guided fishermen could use this spot as an excellent starting point in Sabine Lake. Great value and fully equipped. All you need is your sense of adventure.

Smooth check in at this relaxing location. Was able to park boat outside the cabin and slip out in the morning. We caught more fish from our patio then we did in the boat. Would highly recommend for quick get away. Very clean location and loaded with any houseware that could be needed. Friendly people.

Loved the private location . Tried fishing but no luck this time quite windy but loved accommodations after electricity came on . Storm had downed poles in storm .we were informed but already on our way They provided ice so didn't loose food just couldn't cook it . Cold showers first day . Comfortable beds screened on patio Beautiful sunrise, dolphins and birds calming to watch
