The Farm Cottage--close to two state parks

Rustic farm house located on a working cattle farm. Home features two porches with seasonal views of Mt. Nebo and Petit Jean Mountain, breakfast nook, kitchen, dining area, large living room with two comfortable sofas and large flat screen smart television, two bedrooms with queen size beds, one full bath, and laundry room.
Their is ample room for a boat trailer in the parking area.
Large oaks and other shade trees provide a cooler lawn space for relaxing and playing lawn games. In addition to the porches and lawn area, there is also a fire pit with seating for four.
Home is located a short distance from Petit Jean and Mt. Nebo State Parks as well as the Centerville race tracks. Nearby Lake Dardanelle is an excellent fishing and recreation lake. Petit Jean Wildlife Management Area is minutes away and features public hunting and fishing. Holla Bend Wildlife Management Area is also very close and is an excellent place to see a variety of birds including Bald Eagles.

Comfortable farm cottage near state parks

The cottage is really nice. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Check-in was easy and directions were perfect. Great location for visiting the 3 state parks in the area - Petit Jean, Mt Nebo, and Mt Magazine, all of which are awesome. Really appreciated the complimentary eggs and ground beef.

We drove up to the farm house and thought it was super cute, but walking into the house felt like a warm hug. It was decorated like an actual farm house and had everything needed to cook meals and enjoy time just relaxing after our hiking adventures. The beds were very comfy and the towels were thick and cozy. Additionally, a pound of fresh ground beef and a dozen fresh eggs were waiting in the fridge for us. What a bonus!!! If your family needs a place to kick back after a day of exploring, this is your place!!

Charming and Great Location

What a charming and relaxing home! The hosts were so friendly, generous to share their farm eggs and beef, and also invited us to chore with them which my boys (7 and 10) loved. The home is conveniently located near several state parks and recreational activities. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to return!

Beautiful house on a knoll on a farm

Old farmhouse renovated nestled in-between cows and every day farm life. Very quiet place with birds,cows and an occasional tractor going through the farm. House is very comfortable and relaxing.

Farm Cottage

We loved staying on the farm; we felt right at home! We wanted to hike, and this place is close to Mt. Nebo SP, Lake Dardanelle SP, and Petit Jean SP! The cottage was squeaky clean, the bed was comfortable, the decor was charming, and the Grays are the friendliest! There is plenty of room, and we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend the farm cottage.

Birthday weekend

My granddaughter and I stayed for her 17th birthday weekend. The cabin was cozy and perfect. We loved that the owners provided fresh eggs and ground beef. We went hiking at Petit Jean and at Mt Nebo state parks. It was a short drive to either state park. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Peaceful farm living

This place was perfect for us. We came for the eclipse and stayed for Arkansas. The property is exactly as described, a charming farmhouse with some great parks nearby. The neighbors were amazing and made us feel entirely welcome. We enjoyed the cows and chickens - but the songbirds were also entertaining. Thanks, R&D for a great time!

Galla Rock Farm cottage

From the moment I drove onto the property to when we opened the door with our code, I fell in love with this property. The house itself is very quaint and then the decor of the house is excellent. The furniture is very comfy, the beds are comfy and then to have eggs already in the fridge was a bonus. It’s a place I could continue to rent for every stay in Arkansas.

My family and I loved the property it was just what we needed. There wasn’t any distractions from the time we spent with one another. The property owner kept in good contact. Our only regret is not arriving sooner or staying longer to enjoy the property to its fullest.

We loved the property and it was the vacation we needed. The kitchen was equipped with multiple pots & pans, every utensil you could need & there was also both a carafe coffee pot & kurig. Every room had thoughtful touches I wouldn’t have thought of. This cottage was lacking nothing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This cottage was the perfect place to land during our family reunion. The cottage is clean, well appointed, and stocked with essentials. The surrounding farm is quaint and peaceful. The hosts are quick to respond to communication and eager to assist with anything you might need. We very much appreciated the fresh beef and eggs that were waiting for us upon arrival. Paradise lives on Hwy 154

I only live about 20 miles away, but a remodel has stolen all my suitable guest space. The Farm Cottage to the rescue! Our retreat was peaceful and it couldn’t have been any more cozy. Kitchen, bathroom, wifi, beds, and the house itself gave everything we needed. I hope to return.

An annual tradition :)

This is our second year coming to the farm and we love it. Our 4-year old brings up this place at least once a month, and he was delighted to visit again and hike at the nearby state parks and “help” with farm chores. Richie and Divella Gray are so welcoming, friendly, generous, and patient with our boys. The farm is a beautiful and peaceful getaway. A great place to relax and upwind. Highly recommended for families and for couples or friends needing an escape. Also, the beef R&D sell is delicious… bring some cash so you can take home a couple steaks :) We’ll see you next year!

Park hunters

This cottage was perfect! We stay at VRBOs all over the country and this was one of our best rentals ever. The location was a perfect home base for us to explore all of central AR. The farm cottage was quiet, homey and welcoming and had EVERYTHING we could want. We especially appreciated the ground beef and fresh eggs, but also plenty of plates, utensils, cooking equip., towels, everything! Divella (the host) was very timely and efficient in communicating with us as well. We wished we hadn’t packed our itinerary so fully and would have had more time to enjoy the cottage! Every detail was taken care of. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of living space, seasonal decorations, a delightful porch for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Thanks so much, Divella!!!

Weekend Getaway

My Husband and I had the best stay ever at this Cozy little cottage! We did a 3 day trip and will definitely book this property again!!! The farm it resides on is super peaceful! The fresh eggs and ground meat were greatly appreciated and enjoyed! We even bought another dozen eggs and various cuts of beef to take home. The cottage had all the amenities to accommodate cooking, as well as lots of great books for reading different types of games, and a fire pit with plenty of firewood and marshmallow holders for roasting. Comfortable beds! Owner responds in a timely manner and it was great meeting her the day we purchased beef and eggs. She was extremely friendly and welcoming. We went to Petit Jean and spent a day hiking. The waterfall was strenuous but well worth the view! We did 3 trails total and the lookout points. It’s a straightforward drive from the property;we spent another day fishing and hitting up the local flea market and a brewery. If you are looking for a quiet place to recharge and enjoy nature this is the spot for you!!!!
