Absolutely lovely hotel with 5⭐️service. We had a lovely clean room with a very comfortable bed and lovely spacious shower with plentiful hot water. We had a little terrace to sit out on and enjoy the morning sun. The restaurant was really good food and Olivier is the perfect host. The breakfast was also delicious and a great start to the day. This property was on the outskirts of Roussillon, France. Owned by a lovely couple and staffed by very caring employees. The rooms were clean and well made up. The views across the valley were stunning. It would have been nice if the rooms were equipped with a small fridge to keep wine cold. And wine glasses, although when we requested them, they were happily provided. The breakfast bar was mostly packaged cheeses, juices, good bread and cold scrambled eggs.

Much to love: staff, breakfast, location, more!

Loved staff, from owners Olivier+Julie to server Jen. Terrific, convenient location right on edge of town; free parking. Breakfast was exceptional+a good value. Olivier opens a wonderful restaurant across the street periodically and seasonally. Definitely ask about it and go if available. Pleasant, low-keyed but sophisticated vibe.

The staff was very friendly and their service was excellent. I had a beautiful view from my terrace and the proximity to the center of the city was good. Everything was in easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend it. For English speakers the staff was fluent.

Perfect!!!

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little hotel! Great location with a 2 minute walk to the center of Roussion. We had a family room on the top floor with a terrace that had the most incredible views! Everything in our room was impeccable and updated, the owners were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was great. There is a small pool with beautiful grounds that you can relax by after a day of walking and sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel, you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely family owned hotel. The owners are delightful and the rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. The hotel has an outdoor pool across the street, but the air temperature was too cool for us to go swimming. We had read nice things about the hotel restaurant, but we happened to be there on a Thursday, which is the one day that it’s closed. Fortunately, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel, which is extra, was very good and offered a variety of options. Parking, which is included, is in a lot just across the street from the hotel. The town of Rousillon is stunning and we enjoyed watching the sunset over the red cliffs and green valleys from our hotel balcony. All in all, we enjoyed everything about our stay at Maison des Ocres and would return if we were back in the area again.

This hotel is a lovely place to stay when visiting Roussillon and the nearby area. The room was well equipped, great shower, and very comfortable bed. The hotel has a wonderful buffet breakfast that’s got everything - even scrambled eggs and bacon for Americans. The restaurant is wonderful with excellent food and great service in a very charming dining room. The hotel has a superb collection of art on its walls. Finally, the friendliness of the hotel personnel was so refreshing after earlier places we’ve stayed in France. Stay there you will be happy you did!

This is a perfect place to stay if visiting towns in Provence. The ower was so helpful and friendly and this town is not quite as touristy as some so it was easier to maneuver. I highly recommend.

First visit won’t be our last !

We loved our first visit tobThr Luberon and in particular Rousillion — Maison des Ocres is perfectly located just outside the ancient city and next to public parking - a free pass is given to their guests. The pool is a perfect way to relax after a long day of activities in the region. Breakfast is great— wide ranging selection, excellent quality and great value We will definitely return !

The reception was the worst we have ever experienced in Europe. We don’t know if the man who we met outside the hotel was owner or manager, but he was angry because we arrived at 8:20pm which we don’t feel is particularly late. He told us we could awake the other guests by our “late arrival”! We called him Basil because he could turn on the charm when he wanted, but was also arrogant and very rude and entirely unsuited to be in charge of anything to do with guests. On the contrary, a lady who worked at the hotel reception was lovely - friendly and very helpful. On another positive note, this hotel is very well appointed, very clean, a comfortable bed and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. So in summary the experience was marred by a rude owner/manager but the overall the hotel is very well appointed and comfortable.
