The property itself is pretty cool. there are some elements that could be better. there was a broken light fixture cover in the upstairs bedroom. The thermostats face was shattered, although it still worked. instructions to load dish washer, but no scrub brush for plates. front screen door didn't have an inside handle and the door didn't close properly so bugs could get in. Upstairs Shower head was horrible. password for wifi was there, but not which network to connect to. I left a message a week before we arrived and never got an reply. ask the same question once we arrived and didn't get a reply. asked about wifi when we arrived and got a reply the next day, but i had figured out which wifi by then. asked for an extra hour of to check out, it took a day to get a response, and then they said they would get back to me and never did. The communication was really bad.

Christmas weekend

We hosted a weekend at Double JJ and rented 4 cabins. This cabin was very clean and nice, which we appreciated. We rented 4 other cabins, so other family members stayed in this one. However, they did mention that it was clean and comfortable.

Pictures don’t do Justice!

Listing pictures don’t do justice to how magical this place is! All our kids (Ages 0-14) loved it so much, they didn’t want to leave. Chicken coup right outside the cabin where we were offered fresh eggs each morning. It’s close to everything, but still so private and secluded. My favorite thing was looking at the stars each night. The view is breathtaking. Will definitely be back. Thank you for having us!

Time at the Dunes

Cabin was nice and clean. The grounds around the cabin need some work. Broken pic-nic tables, messy fire pit. Previous guests left their trash. Mattresses were very old, and need replaced. Lighting in kitchen needs to be brighter, can’t really see to eat at table. The well water had a horrible sulphuric smell and was brown when you first turned it on.would’ve been nice to have instruction's on how to run TV. The various grills outside cabin all had missing parts.Our stay was still nice despite the above mentioned issues. We did take advantage of the indoor water park. Would be nice if they would offer a price break for guests at the cabins.

Loved it there just one thing annoyed me

Behind the cabin was a swamp...not mentioned in the listing, and I thought it was woods to explore. Also didn't like the shared fireplace, but that was mentioned in the listing. But it was a great experience the family loved it.

Great honeymoon spot.

We got married November 12 and stayed a few days in the cabin. Clean, beautiful, spacious, and everything we could have asked for for our honeymoon.

No maintenance

Fridge was off when arriving. No shovel for snow on stairs and porch. Front door needs adjusting. Inside door trio just hanging out by a nail. Toliet chain rusted and broke had to repair. Dishwasher bottom piece just laying on floor. Four other doors trip coming off. Under upstairs bathroom nails lying on ground and opened hole. Back of bathroom door coming off on inside bottom. Top bedroom fire alarm was green. Other two had no lights. Bottom drawer in kitchen has construction stuff in it including caulk and a hammer. Other things in cabin needs paint. Top bathroom looks like roof leak. Not very happy. Fire alarms scared me.

This Cabin was awesome for our family of 10!!

The cabin was just as listed in size, beds and all the comforts of home. It was very clean and the host Jen was always available when I needed to ask a question. We will definitely rent this cabin again. We had 6 adults and 4 children from age 4 to 12. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this cabin.

Great space for family

First, thank you for sharing your home. The property was easy to locate and parking was convenient. The owner was very pleasant and helpful with all my questions. The negative side was that both fireplaces didn’t work and the water is not safe. The smell is over powering and very hard on the skin. My daughter got very sick after drinking.

No cell, WiFi, cable, or satellite.

This place was very clean, however, upon arrival, we could not gain access. They had removed the lockbox and neglected to tell us. They did give a phone number to call for any problems but there is no (zero) cell service at the property. We had to leave and drive a half a mile to get the new entry instructions. Once in the property, on top of no cell service, there is no cable service, no satellite service, and no WiFi. Extremely inconvenient. Had I known we would have no way to communicate with the outside world, I would never have rented this place. Very disappointed.

June vacation

The home was beautiful but in a remote location. No restaurants nearby except one at the DoubleJJ , would like to be closer to things to do. We spent a lot of time driving after arrival.

Pictures are accurate

Very clean and cozy. Property was accurately described. We did not have any troubles and did not need to contact property owners while we were there. The open layout with vaulted ceilings were very cool. The gas fireplaces definitely keep ya warm except in the lower back bedrooms seem to still have a chill but they were tons of extra blankets.
