Quiet apartment in the heart of everything
My family loved our stay in Rome. The owners were easy and quick to communicate with and very helpful. Check in was a breeze and they were very flexible with us to accommodate our travel changes. Apartment is as shown and described. Location is amazing - literally right around the corner from so much action yet a quiet little street and no noise at all in the apartment.

Great apartment to stay in central rome!
We loved our 4 night stay in this apartment. It was spacious and had everything needed to make our stay a success. It's close to too many great places. Our kids loved having one of the best gelato shops right around the corner. We especially enjoyed the warm welcome from our hosts and getting recommendations for restaurants, coffee shops, etc from them.

Perfect location
What a great way to start or trip to Italy! Our hostess was lovely showing us around the spacious and comfortable apartment. She even taught us how to make a mocha pot! The location is perfect! An easy walking distance to most sites and just on the edge of the Pantheon. I would 100% recommend

First time in Rome and this was a wonderful location, wonderful apartment, extremely helpful owner, Ginerva! Ginerva gave us lots of helpful information, places near to eat, shop, explore, etc! We enjoyed our stay very much at Count Checco. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens, we were intrigued the moment our Taxi dropped us off! He actually dropped us off around the corner, which was understandable. Wonderful patio that we used daily! We had an amazing time in Rome and at Count Checco. Thank you Ginerva!

Great stay for family vacation
I stayed here with my spouse, 10 year old and 4 year old. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great space to relax after a lot of sightseeing. Had the kitchen basics. We didn't cook but did breakfast and leftovers. Easy walk to sights, restaurants and great gelato. Although it is a busy area, it was quiet. No issues with street noise. The host was good with communication and helped us arrange an early airport pickup. The posting notes there are stairs. They are no joke. I would not have wanted to carry up big luggage or kids up them.

Welcome to Rome
This is a super property right in the heart of a lively and safe neighborhood where you can enjoy so many restaurants and gelato!! The Pantheon is a 6 minute walk and quite impressive. The apartment is beautiful, lots of light and very comfortable. The kitchen is complete! We loved eating in creating dishes we enjoyed at local restaurants. The outdoor area patio is a haven for relaxing after a day of touring. Loved the lanterns. The hosts couldn’t be more kind and helpful. This place is a gem. It is quiet and very comfortable and a most wonderful and most relaxing place to stay in spite of the 60 steps n you will climb to the door! Worth it!

Great City apartment next to many of the sites of interest in Rome close to many of the attractions. Lively area near by with plenty of bars and places to eat near by. Great in the summer as it has air-conditioning to escape the heat and hustle and bustle of the city.

Amazing Location
We loved everything about this apartment! Yes, there are lots of stairs, but it’s not too bad. The location was amazing. There are so many things to do as soon as you step out the door. The apartment was clean and spacious, and we loved the outdoor area. The only complaint we had was the hot water seems to run out quickly. We solved this by scheduling showers, and showering quickly. Everyone had hot water that way.

Wonderful Location and Space
The apartment is spacious as shown in the photos. The twin beds were too firm to be comfortable for my sister so she slept on the living room sofa. The apartment was clean but the glasses, pots and pans were not usable unless we washed them first. Either the previous guests didn’t wash them after using, or the cleaners didn’t check them. Our host, Ginevra graciously gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy and we did, but only after scrubbing lip and finger prints off 2 wine glasses. As noted by previous guests, there are a LOT of steps. Especially difficult if you are carrying luggage. Our host arranged a car from FCO to apartment and back — the service was excellent. Picked up 1 sister who flew out our first night at the restaurant she booked for us — and the female driver was a welcome site since it was at 2200 and she was traveling alone. Grazie, Ginnie!

Wonderful apartment in the historical center.
We had an extended stay, for 35 days. The apartment looked even bigger that the pictures on the website. We were able to walk everywhere for our total time, all the major historical sites are within a one mile radius. the apartment does not have an elevator and there are 60 steps to climb, but we felt that prepared us for our month of walking everywhere in Rome. The hostess Ginevra is also the owner and she is a pleasure to work with. Sometimes she travels so is not available all of the time but we had no issues, with that and it is nice to work directly with the owner.

An apartment worthy of Rome!
Our week-long stay in Rome was made more wonderful by staying in this beautiful, roomy apartment. The location is nothing short of a miracle - close to the Pantheon, and walking distance to the Vatican, Trastevere, museums, churches and of course excellent restaurants. We would love to return to Rome and would stay here again.

While I give Ginevra's apartment a deserved 5 stars, there are 2 caveats: there are 63 steps (no lift) to the wonderful apartment, and the twin beds are best suitable for children. She is very caring and helpful. My wife & I would stay again.

Charming apartment, perfect location in Rome's city center
My spouse, three children (ages 16, 14, 11), and I loved our stay at Count Checco. The tastefully-decorated apartment is in the perfect location very near the Pantheon. The host was extremely helpful; he walked us around the neighborhood to show us restaurants and grocery stores, made a dinner reservation for us, and thoughtfully left us bottled water and wine in the fridge. We loved the breezy terrace where we enjoyed aperitivos every evening before dinner. The air condition in each room worked great and the beds were all comfy. We would definitely stay at Count Checco again.

Love this property!
Not our first visit and hopefully not the last. Somehow Generva and the apartment keeps getting better. There are many stairs but are surprisingly easy to climb but not for anyone with mobility issues. Beautiful apartment and terrace and very quiet despite the central location. All of the recommendations for local restaurants were amazing.

Highly recommended!
Location of this apartment is perfect. We walked everywhere.... Pantheon, around the corner, Piazza Navona -10 minutes, Colosseum - 20 mins,Vatican city -30 mins. Ginevra gave us a great welcome and we had organised for her to give us a tour of the area when we arrived which was a perfect start to our trip. I would highly recommend this. The apartment is clean and simple and was just right for our family of four , we felt like we were staying at a friend's place.

Charming appartement and excellent location!
One thing that impressed me was how keen the owner was for us to have the best experience on our visit in the beautiful capital of Italy. They helped us with transportation to and from the airport, gave us tip of excellent restaurants and supermarket nearby and "checked-us-in" in the best poosible way by explaining all we needed to know about our stay. All was arranged as aggreed and on time! It was also easy to get in contact with them if we had any questions before and during our stay. I want to give theme the highest rating and warmest recomendation!

Great spot ... very quiet Nice little balconto relax afterwards . Close to everything .
Truly enjoyed ourselves. Didn’t cook at all. Washrooms I had both been recently renovated. Only used the larger shower Other shower was a little tight. Air-conditioning in master was a bit off.... and likely will need replacing but wasn’t an issue during our stay as it was relatively cool for Rome. Owner obviously takes great pride in their place .

In the center of it all
We just returned from a 6 night stay at Ginevra's apartment. The apartment is spacious, spotless and well appointed. The proximity to many must see places was a huge bonus. Although located in a high density area, the orientation of the apartment avoided any street noise whatsoever. Excellent restaurants are a short stroll away. Ginevra, who is an author and tour guide, speaks English fluently and was a delight to deal with. She provided many excellent dining recommendations and helpfully arranged transportation from and to the airport with a very knowledgeable and friendly driver. First rate experience. (Note that the apartment is located on the third or fourth floor and may present some difficulties for those guests with mobility issues - certainly not a criticism but merely an FYI)

Great location and a very nice apartment.
(I am resubmitting as I am unsure if my previous post went through) We are a family of five and stayed here in late March, 2019. The apartment is superbly located. It is just a couple minutes walk to the Pantheon, and just a little farther to Piazza Navona. Also, easy walking distance to the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps areas. There are lots of great restaurants and shops (gelato!) in easy walking distance. The owner, Ginevra, is a great guide. We hired her on a couple of different days, and she guided us to colosseum, pantheon, forum, piazzas, etc. She is extremely knowledgable, nice, and her English is excellent. I would recommend hiring her, especially early in your visit to learn about the immediate area. The apartment is nice, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, and a small terrace. We had two kids in one room and one on the couch in the living area. Overall, we loved staying here. It is a fantastic location and a very nice place to stay. I recommend it. Thanks, Ginevra!

Great Apartment Near Pantheon for 2! It has a few issues for 4
My friend and I shared Count Checco for the month of February. Ginevra was very responsive before our arrival with any questions and arranged for our separate airport pickups. It is literally around the corner from the Pantheon, but far enough away so that you feel like you are enjoying living like a local around the Piazza della Maddalena. This is a perfect short term apartment for 2-4 people! Photos are accurate and it feels pretty large. The back bedroom is ensuite with a large bathroom and small shower. The front bedroom has two twin beds and she kindly had those put together pre-arrival for me, per my request. The large living room has two sofas but no coffee table. There is a TV with no cable or local channels. It does have Netflix. You will need to sign on with your account. The kitchen is small but worked ok even for our long stay. We didn't mind not having an oven. There are very few cooking utensils (no measuring cups or spoons, few knives, 1 hand towel, etc ) so if you are there long term you learn to adapt. Here's why I say it's 5* & better for 2 people/ 4* for 4: There is very little hot water. You can only take one shower at a time (and she warns you of this in her pre-arrival letter but not how little hot water there is) but you literally have to take two quick showers before the hot water runs out or wait a while before it reheats. Our husbands came for 3 days and we had to pre-plan how we were going to all shower so we'd all have hot water. I would not have enjoyed that for a long stay. They leave you with two sets of towels for the duration of your stay per room. Again, not a problem for a short stay. We thought we would be able to wash them; you are not. They belong to cleaning co and in order to get new towels you have to pay to have apartment cleaned. After having it cleaned twice 130€ (which seemed wasteful since we were gone traveling a lot) she did offer to pick up towels and the cost was 12€. It was great having a washer & the climb to the 4th floor did not bother us. Ginevra is nice. I don't know if it's the language barrier; she at times seemed a little sensitive when we requested something (towels, lol) but she worked with us! TIPS *to open door push up and towards you *Get receipt if you pay balance in cash on arrival *take xtra towels if there for a long stay *take out shower drain plug under metal cap before first use *taxi stand by Pantheon perfect for pickup & dropoff *coop nearby *5 min walk to P Navona

This is a delightful property. The apartment is in a great safe location. Most of the tourist attractions are easily walkable. The Pantheon is very close along with restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery store. The family that owns this property were wonderful hosts. Their hospitality was so appreciated. The apartment was spotless and even better than the pictures. This property is a great choice and I would rent it again.

Spacious, quiet oasis in the center of everything in Rome!
Our family of four had a wonderful stay in this spacious, quiet, and comfortable apartment. Ginevra and her husband were welcoming, responsive, and very helpful. The Parthenon is right around the corner as well as great restaurants and gelato. We literally walked everywhere from the apartment--the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, The Roman Forum, and even back from the Vatican via the bridge at Castel Sant'Angelo.The very close Palazzo Nuovo was fun to visit both during the day and at night and had a convenient taxi stand when we did want a ride. Great location, clean & modern with air conditioning. Perfect host
Highly recommend Count Checco for a comfortable and quiet stay while being in the city center. Short walk to all sights of Rome. Ginerva was friendly & very accommodating host. Comfortably sleeps family of 5 with everything you need for a great stay. Thanks Ginerva!
