Cottage 1: Lake View

Cottage 1 is a two bedroom, one bath cottage that has a queen size bed in the primary bedroom and a twin over full size bunk bed with a pull out trundle bed in the secondary bedroom.

This cottage is perfect for a group of 4.  Comes with complementary coffee and sundries.

Great winter get away

Short & Sweet

Only stayed two nights. Location was wonderful with a great view of Moosehead Lake. Cabin 1 was newly renovated and quaint. Rockwood is quiet. Birches is only close place to eat, but nice. Can’t wait to come back.

Perfect get away

The property is great! The cabins are perfect! The owners were great at answering any questions we had. Check in process was super easy and so was check out. With the cabins between Greenville and Jackman it was perfect for seeing moose early in the morning. With Jamo’s pizza n subs in Greenville and the Rockwood bar n grill were great food options. Maynard’s is a great breakfast choice, right down the road from the cabins. Might just have to make this our Memorial Day weekend cabin from here on out.

Fall weekend at Moosehead Lake

We stayed at the Rockwood Cottages from a Thursday to Monday with two adults and two teens. The cottages face Moosehead Lake and Mt Kineo, allowing for a beautiful view. Kayaks and Canoes are available for use but we ended up not having time to take advantage them. Rockwood Cottages are perfectly situated about 20 minutes from Greenville. Restaurants, hikes and other activities are all within 25 minutes. Of course you can always venture out farther. Btw, if you avoid gluten Kelly’s Landing offers gluten free substitute for any sandwich, burger or wrap. They even offer gluten free breading for their fried foods. This was a big win for someone on a restricted diet. The inside of the cottage was completely renovated and perfectly met our needs. Kitchen and bathroom are new. Overall just cozy, clean and a very inviting style. The owners left nice touches like a welcome card and coffee. We intend to head back to Moosehead next year and will likely try to rent at Rockwood Cottages again. If we were to make two suggestions it would be a mirror in the bedrooms, so someone else can get ready while the bathroom is occupied and hooks in bedroom or bathroom for towels to be able to dry. Loved our stay, highly recommend!!!!!
