We stayed at this property for a family members funeral. Communication was prompt when we had questions. The surrounding area is beautiful, and the two upstairs bedrooms were comfortable. The only thing that I would comment on is not having a television in the common area and the Second bathroom that was listed on the property was actually a half bath as it did not have a shower or bathtub. Overall good stay. But if you're looking for two separate bathrooms, you're not gonna get one at the spot.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was nice and cozy. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint would be the stairway is steep and a little scary going downstairs wirh anything in your hands. Overall, we had a great stay, ans would definitely stay again.

This place served a good purpose. We were in town for a grad party and our family of six stayed comfortably. Nothing fancy. Great location and way better than a hotel stay.

This was a great place close to everything that we needed. Very comfortable. My only complaint is that we did not get the right code to unlock the door on arrival and the people above us were soooooooo loud screaming and stomping around 24/7. It sounded like they were doing gymnastics up there and felt like they’d come through the ceiling at some points.

Just a couple things..

Overall its a good place. Beds were comfortable and living space was clean. The kitchen could use some attention regarding organization and deep cleaning. With that said, I would still rent there again.

Not on the lake. I know it’s near one but I couldn’t figure out how to get there. Stairs are very steep to get upstairs. I had a very difficult time carrying anything up or downstairs because I really needed both hands to hold on so I didn’t loose my balance. Kitchen light was burned out so they put a lamp on top of the refrigerator to use. I found this very odd. Overall it was okay but the property is old and rather run down.

This listing was very misleading! It is listed as a "cottage" and a "whole house" on Lake Bella Vista with a beach. It is none of that! This is an older apartment building with four separate apartments. Damaged, crumbling walkway to the building unsafe. The front door to the building was never closed (security issue), entry was very dirty and smelly. I had an upstairs apartment and the stairs were some of the worse I've ever seen. Step depth was 6-8" and my feet did not even fit on the steps. Definitely not up to code! Railing was loose and rickety and carrying luggage up and down a serious safety hazard. The door to the apartment had a large split in it, evidence of being kicked in. The first night a man and woman were heard outside arguing about my car that was parked in front of garage with my apt. letter on it as I was instructed. He was clearly unhappy about that. When the doorbell to my unit rang I chose not to answer for safety reasons. I did not feel safe. Inside the apartment looked like the pictures however since it was listed as a whole house and other apartment photos were included in the listing you don't know really what you are getting until you open the door. Overall inside I'd give it three stars. This was not what I was expecting and I'm not sure how this listing passed with so many misleading descriptions and safety issues. I hope this review is seen by more than just the rental company that oversees it and by the vrbo company as well.

My experience overall at this property as poor-average. It served its purpose as just a place to sleep as we were out with family for most of each day. However, it was not worth the price-tag of about 300 per night. I would have been much more disappointed if this was to be our primary vacation location. Neighborhood is nice, friendly, walkable. Felt safe, secure. Keyless door access system was helpful. 2 AC units plus fans kept the apartment comfortable temperature wise. Cleanliness was 5/10. Didn’t feel comfortable enough to shower there. Hair left behind in sink and bathtub, dirty grout, overall shabby and visibly in need of repairs in several places. Felt a bit misled by the description – be aware that this is 1 of 4 apartments in a house, not a “cottage on the lake.” All blinds in the apartment are broken/in poor condition, no curtains available (as in property description), so the morning sun blazes in, which was a challenge travelling with small children. Not a guidebook or map to be found. This property touts lake access nearby, but there is nothing to tell you how or where to access it. Bedroom TV was not functional. I did contact host about this, but really didn’t care to try and perform IT myself, just wasn’t worth my time, so we went without. Apartment smelled like old, cooked food (something aromatic or spicy) that just permeated the carpets and couch. Outside trashcans were smelly and overflowing when we arrived.
