"Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. On the positive side, public areas are clean and up-to-date and the staff are pleasant. The amount charged by this hotel is probably influenced by the fact that there are few hotels in the area. This is not value for money and I would avoid staying here if at all possible."

"A beautiful place, and an oasis of calm. The sea in the distance, trees, peace, the pool, and gorgeous garden. The hosts are wonderful and accessible, and able to help and advise. We appreciated them a lot, and the combination of the beautiful space and the care and kindness we were received with, means we definitely hope to return. "This is a very unique hotel. Rustic, small village experience. For us a great stop on a long journey. Not ideal if you only look for a bed and comfort. Good value. "
