"The staff at Southaven was pleasant but the service was inconsistent. I requested a room refresh each day for our three night stay. That happened the first day we returned to our room, but on the second day when we returned at 7pm, nothing had been done. I did not mention it to the front desk because we were leaving the next morning and there were extra towels, but it would have been nice to have the trash emptied. This property is very convenient to Memphis and we spent two days in the city. There are a lot of conveniences close to the hotel. The hotel is on Goodman Road West and the traffic is EXTREMELY loud and sounded like a drag strip with all the motorcycles and extremely loud pickup trucks. In comparison, Interstate 55 was barely heard even though the hotel is right next to the interchange. This is not the hotel’s fault, but just a heads up that room location might make a difference—we faced Goodman Road and could hear the traffic all night even though we are generally pretty sound sleepers."

"Housekeeping did a good job. Some receptionists were very helpful, others less so. Breakfast was definitely good enough. Parking lot was being resurfaced. Doors from outside on were regularly left unlocked."
