The only downside is the location. It is quite a walk across the bridge to the main part of the village. We therefore ended up driving over and and parking in the free parking area to go out to dinner each night."

The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise."

"We loved staying at this apartment. Its location was ideal and it had been recently renovated. The owners were very responsive with us. A huge plus was the parking spot that’s offered with the listing, you just have to finesse your parallel parking! This apartment is not convenient for those that have a difficult time with stairs. There were 3 sets of steps that were very steep, so please plan accordingly. Taking luggage up and down the stairs was an exhausting adventure. Something I wasn’t used to was that there’s one toilet for the entire apartment. It’s in a room by itself, you need to wash your hands outside. We had a great time and will miss our home away from home! "
