The gym had no AC and the water fountain was not cold. I was also told that I had to leave a $20.00 deposit just in case I purchased something in the room. I guess I have to check my charge card to see if I was credited my $20.00 back.

The staff was friendly, but everything was down and out of service. Rooms could definitely use an upgrade. They charge twice as much as everyone else for nothing. Entryway dirty. I will say this: the restaurant is good when they are not out of everything

The property is 15 years old and is being updated. We stayed there for 3 nights and unfortunately were not able to take advantage of the facilities due to the construction. I would have wished the hotel inform us of the fact that construction was underway and the pool and exercise room were no available for use. The hotel contacted me beforehand to remind us of the check-in policy but never mentioned the construction. On the plus side, Daisy, who is part of the staff, is a lovely person and made the stay bearable.

The stay in general was ok only thing was on the web site they had a jacuzzi in the room and we got there got the room and it had no jacuzzi in the room when i inquried about was told all Jacuzzis were taken out web site needs to be updated to let people know renovations are being done and there are no jacuzzis in any of the rooms rosey at check out took some money off which i found nice of her so hilton please address this matter and update the web site about the renovations and the rooms not having jacuzzis in them thx

Not much to say in terms of positives for this hotel. It was quiet? It is falsely advertised to have a working indoor pool. When I asked the staff why the pool was closed, they said “that’s been closed forever and we don’t understand why they haven’t taken it off the website.” It was literally the reason we booked that hotel for our young children. The rest of the hotel was also under construction. I have never seen a facility that is under construction, but there is plaster all over the entire hotel. Again, young children- this was not safe for them. Only had one working elevator for the whole hotel because the other was out of service. Then the cleanliness of the rooms- there were hairs all over the coverlet of our beds. I must say, the staff was very much willing to give us extra linens to replace them however. My husband also pulled a half used toilet paper roll out of the bathroom- GROSS. Overall, would NEVER come back. We paid more for this hotel because of its amenities and location. It was frustrating we could have paid less to stay down the street and have a much better experience. That’s what I would suggest for others to do as well.

This property is under construction. Had a hard time finding ice. The ice room is locked but my key doesn’t open it. Went to other floors they are completely under renovation. The pool isn’t there yet. The restaurant was a few tables in the lobby, yet $75 for 2 kids and 1 adult. You have to pay extra for everything. Rust in the tub. When checking in the guy said his script so fast I didn’t register anything he was saying. This will be a nice hotel some day but not yet.

They were fixing the roof so it was loud and the pool and the fitness center were closed but they didn't tell us. They did not offer a discount because of this. They also never replaced towels each day or the took out our trash or refilled toilet paper or coffee pods.

Dinner was delicious. Hotel is a construction site. Roof, rooms, old furniture laying around outside.No water ffrom 12 to 3, which basically makes the hotel In habitable. Expedia owes me . Roanoke Rapids nightmare
The website indicated they offer roll away beds. We were traveling with 2 of our teenage grandchildren, a boy and a girl. Our room had 2 queen beds so we needed an additional bed, which I requested when making the reservation. When I asked about it, the front desk person said they didn’t have any, nor did they offer them. Clearly, this contradicted what their website indicated. The smoke/fire alarms went off at 3 AM, so we had to evacuate the building, then sent back in once FD arrived and cleared the hotel. No compensation ever offered for this inconvenience. Breakfast is not included at this hotel and is the same as other hotels we have been to that include breakfast. No special restaurant, just an area in the lobby with tables, and a buffet with breakfast items. They will make eggs to order at additional charges. They are currently under renovation and the rooms on floors not yet renovated are dirty, and in disrepair, for example, we couldn’t even close the drapes fully since they were torn from the hooks. Please avoid this hotel when traveling through Roanoke Rapids, North Caroline. There are many other hotels in the area that would be better options.

Do not stay here. Unsafe. Hilton failing!!!
Extremely poor service. Rude, staff acted bothered. An elevator broken with hand written do not use. 1 elevator to use but was only used by staff moving furniture. We’re told by staff we cannot use elevator cause they need it. making my family to take bags by hand down up 3 floors. THIS IS A FIRE HAZZARD!! Ice machines did not work. Filthy. Hilton needs to reject this hotel as it has tarnished the Hilton name for my family permanently. These are just some of the issues.

Disappointed!
The first room we were given reeked of Dogs!! There was also dog feces on the carpet on the hallway. The room looked clean but did not smell clean. The odor took my breath away! So, the 2nd room given was a little better but one could still detect the odor of a dog. I really wish (as do others) that Hilton would not allow guests to bring their animals to the rooms, Or at least section off a few rooms specifically for those guests that have animals. I was very unhappy with my stay because of the smell. Very offensive! I’m an Honors member but not a happy one at this point. Thinking seriously about going with another chain.

No hot water. Had to leave room and wait hours before the hot water was repaired. Outdated rooms for a newer/renovated room. Lobby is beautiful but the rooms are stuck in a time warp.

Upon arrival and picking up keys for a Jr. King Suite, we went to our room and noted significant water on the floor of the bathroom. I returned to the front desk to report issue and asked to be re-assigned to another room. Front Desk person took immediate offense to my request, insinuated we caused the issue, then said she had to "downgrade" our room to a regular King room since we booked through a third party. I replied that I had heard up bumping up customers when there is an issue but never downgrading them without some consideration. Reported the issue to the Hotel Manager in the morning, and once again was treated somewhat rudely, and reminded she couldn't do anything since we booked 3rd party. Have stayed here 6-8 times over the past 18 months due to recurring business in the area and normally things go well. Guess we'll re-think our options moving forward. Staff does not seem well trained in client service when things go off-schedule. Construction/remodeling going on in hotel and property is not currently in "prime condition". Worked partial refund thru third party, but things really did not have to be that hard.

The stay was pleasant. The people were very nice. The hotel is a bit under construction but the over appearance of the hotel is great.

This was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was so bad my wife was reluctant to even go in it. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Very messy.
Stains on the rugs, trash in the parking lot (including a bottle of pee and a used diaper) strong smells in the building. Expensive breakfast buffet. A bit too gross for my liking.

Our stay was fine. Checking in was easy and the front desk was accommodating. The only negatives were that the room had a musty smell, and the sink drain was locked shut and needed repair. Overall it was a positive experience.

This property has potential however they must work on cleanliness and dining. Horrible buffet breakfast for $15.95 was not work the price plus old and stale coffee. Carpets and floors in common areas were sticky and dirty.
