Property is nice and so is the staff. Front desk speak english and or spanish but alot of the wait staff doesn’t so alot if pointing to things we wanted. Breakfast is good options but dinner is very limited so i wouldn’t pay for it. Room service food was good. And one block away is a mall with several restaurant and cafes in it. The massages was divine and affordable!

The hotel is great and I can't understand the bad reviews I've read. The elevators worked flawlessly, the staff spoke English and were very friendly and unlike Copacabana and Ipanema, the beach is also much cleaner and a lot quieter. Of course, if you want to be asked every 15 minutes, whether you want to buy a bracelet or something, there is nothing wrong with Copacabana. This is not the case at all on Sao Conrado Beach. All in all, the hotel, the place and the beach in my opinion was the best choice to be in "Zona Sul" in Rio de Janeiro when you want a hotel directly on the beach.

Das Hotel lebt von seiner besonderen Geschichte. Sao Conrado als solches fühlte sich sicher an. Für ein 5*-Hotel in dieser Lage hätte ich erwartet, dass mehr als eine Handvoll Mitarbeiter englisch können. Auf jeden Fall schalten die Taxifahrer, sobald sie den Hotelnamen hören oder man von dort starten will, in den höheren Nachttarif. Das passiert bei der nahegelegenen Fashion Mall nicht. Die angebotene Tijuca-Tour war ein absolutes Highlight, was an den Mitarbeitern des anbietenden Unternehmens lag. Das Frühstück war unterdurchschnittlich, meist kalt und die Mitarbeiter wirkten überfordert oder unmotiviert. Die angebotenen Programme haben wir nicht genutzt. Die Security war ambivalent. Es gab echt tolle Leute, aber auch sehr schlechte Erfahrungen. Scheinbar gehörten wir optisch nicht zur gewünschten Klientel für einige. Die dazugehörige Strandbar war nicht die schnellste, aber man war bemüht, den Gast zu verwöhnen und zu unterhalten. Der Ausblick aus dem gemütlichen und großen Zimmer war gewaltig mit Rocinha und Cristo Redentor. Leider konnte das über den gebrauchten Zustand und mangelnder Reinigung nicht hinweghelfen. Die Minibar wurde eher sporadisch aufgefüllt, war vom Preis aber in Ordnung. Alles in allem: Architektur, Lage, Ausblick super. Service könnte zumindest rudimentär englischsprachig sein. Das wäre ein Fortschritt.

A very classy property that has been well maintained. Has a great location across the beach although a bit outside of downtown. It is one beach down from Ipanema. The food was mediocre at best but average for Brazil where they don't season or even use salt. The free breakfast is extensive but bland.

Please read until the end. -The staff at the front desk was very pleasant & spoke great English. housekeeping also did a great job daily. I got sick & the room service frequently brought up more tea upon request. -The property is beautiful and provides amazing beach views as well as views of the biggest favela. They have a nice gym, & spa as well as a beautiful elevated “lawn”. The pool is also decent. Honorable mention, the restaurant on the roof is stunning, with great drinks & nice food. I recommend the salmon. The bar outside was okay. My drinks were constantly made with extra lemon. They have live performances from a dj or pianist every now & then. -Food: I included free breakfast in my booking and it was worth it. They have many options that change through the week and a live chef that makes the best omelettes daily. There was also a detox juice that tasted amazing lives up to its name. Now.. my ⚠️ONLY ISSUE ⚠️ with this property is that on day 5 out of 7, the Water Shut Off. I could not bathe or brush my teeth with the sink or shower. I had to use the water bottles in the fridge and after explaining this to them they STILL charged us for the water. They also eventually stopped answering the phone once they realized the issue. The water came on for an hour and then went off again. If you walk 2 blocks down you’ll see all the locals outside until 4am with the best local dishes for $3-$5usd. The “FUN” aka LAPA is a 30min $15usd uber ride away! The GIG airport is 40min

The architecture is amazing, and the quick access to a beautiful sandy beach is wonderful! The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly - and many of the staff spoke English, which was a huge bonus.

Hotel was safe n quiet No need to bring cash Everywhere in rio accepts credit card even the vendors n taxi Everything in rio is pretty cheap Don't need a rental car bcuz it's no parking at hotel and taxi is really cheap to get around $10-$20us$ can bring you pretty much everywhere Free breakfast was completely trash I'm guessing that's why it's free Dinner included was repetitive not good Better to go out and eat food But hotel was really clean n smell good all the time

Nice hotel with friendly staff, nice view beach/ Favela, supermarket on walk distance. Nice sky- lounge restaurant on the 30th floor. Missed Nespresso and water cooker machine in the room. No tissues in the bathrloom.

El hotel es hermoso, su infraestructura increíble y el personal de lujo. Lo unico a mejorar es que tardan 35-40 minutos en traer algo a la habitación, por ej una toalla. Aun que la verdad, nada va a cambiar mi experiencia extraordinaria con ustedes! creo que sus instalaciones son preciosas, super updated y con variedad en el desayuno. El personal es inmejorable, realmente siempre predispuestos a ayudar, no recuerdo sus nombres (perdon) pero la chica de recepción del dia que llegue y el mozo de la pileta hicieron la diferencia con servicio y buen trato. Totalmente recomendable, es un hotel que no pueden perderse…💖

The clock in the room was not on the correct time and could not be changed. I did ask for someone to come and change it but that did not happen. Also the air conditioning could not be set to a temperature that I wanted which made the room very cold. Other than that I thought it suited my purposes perfectly

The room itself was nice and had great views with very close proximity to the beach, however, both check in and check out was incredibly long and inefficient. Customer service was not great and the food at the restaurants were horrendous. Breakfast buffets was fine but very limited options for vegetarian/ non dairy. Also had to contest charges to receive Expedia reward benefits for free beverages. I probably would not stay here again for the price paid.

Hotel was excellent spacious suite,large enough for four people Breakfast was very repetitive with little or no variation during our 9 night stay Pool area was very good and drinks prices were reasonable

A estadia foi muito agradável, mas infelizmente o hotel precisa ajustar a abordagem sobre a venda de cotas, ninguém aguentava mais ser abordado de maneira inconveniente pelo vendedor de cotas. Precisa ser ajustado isso o mais logo possível.
