Location great in town. Lava fissures still fresh in the minds of residents, with evidence all around. Enjoyed an easy bfast before the 15 min ride to Blue Lagoon.

Important to know that due to the volcanic activity the last few years this town is essentially abandoned. I hope it comes back but this hotel lacks for the price charged. No TV in the room, breakfast was enjoyable, bed was very springy, room was hot without window open all night, shower head sprayed all directions, bathroom light didn’t work, sink was plugged. Least favourite of our 5 hotels during this trip. Would not return and certainly not at the price we paid. Close access to blue lagoon or airport.

The best thing is it’s close to the airport and the blue lagoon. As we only had less then a day of layover, this place is very near the blue lagoon where we planned to spend a few hours of relaxation before flying back home.

Grindavik est une petite ville avec peu de services. Mais j'ai trouvé là un bon pied à terre pour mon arrivée en Islande. Une belle matinée ensoleillée m'a permis en plus de profiter du Lagon Bleu à quelques km à peine. (Attention prix d'entrée extrêmement élevé). Petit déjeuner très convenable.

Super quiet, great location for Blue Lagoon and airport. Our room was 210 and unfortunately the curtains were NOT BLACKOUT. To be safe, bring a sleeping mask. Breakfast was minimal, but staff was very courteous.

Property is what you are looking for, a place to rest and be in the middle of everything. The room was very clean, staff was cordial, breakfast was good and hot. The area needs tourism, sadly that tow. Has been through everything. You should go and support it. I’m glad we did, went to the blue lagoon which is 10 minutes away. And there’s so much more.

Staff missed housekeeping 2 out of 3 days.. very disappointed.. And breakfast although better than what other hotels in area offer, lacked variety.. same bread, boiled eggs or cereal was hard to eat 3 days straight.. Having addl options like waffle maker, scrambled eggs will be nice..!

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Blue Lagoon. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Did not realize that the town is an abandoned ghost town with most of the town fenced off and minimal food choices open during our stay. Bed was an old spring mattress that was uncomfortable.
