Transferred to the Hotel Odinsve after it turned out that my guesthouse was filthy and had no hot water. Happy to report that Hotel Odinsve was an absolute oasis — kind staff, comfortable rooms, and perfectly located.

Room was clean and had lots of space. Location was ideal, a quiet side street within a short walk of bus stops, restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage with the front desk the day we checked out so we could participate in a tour.

We had a great time at the hotel. We stayed two nights to start our trip in Iceland. All the main attractions are walking distance. There is no parking so sometimes we could only find a parking space farther away. Breakfast was good and basic

Hotel Odinsve was a great place to stay in Reykjavik. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small compared to US hotels I've stayed at but that seems to be the norm in European countries. Not a show stopper tho, the room was very clean and comfortable. Location is great for getting around Reykjavik & Tour bus stop was about 3 blocks away which was very convenient. Buffet breakfast was served each morning at Snap's Bistro adjacent to hotel. Great stay, would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is right in the center of downtown. We were able to walk to pretty much everything. The bus stop for tours is just 5 min walk away. The bed was comfortable, staff was very nice and breakfast provided with your stay is just perfect. The restaurant is also convient for dinner w great food. The rooms are a good size for 2 people w a king bed. The bathroom is a little small but nothing that bothered us. Hairdryer provided , towels, and nice heater to beat the chill. There is no ac or refrigerator in case you require one.

We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. The breakfast was good but rather limited, esp for the price paid. Staff was very helpful and arranged a cab for us the day we left. The only negative is that the shower had a mind of its own! The water pressure was rather weak and getting the right temperature was trial and error. Other than that, we were very happy with the hotel.

I really loved the hotel lobby, the proximity to town amenities and the friendly staff. Blackout curtains were welcomed. My only negative comment is the bathroom has a shower curtain and it’s really small.

The location was wonderful. It is within walking distance of the major attractions. The rooms were comfortable. They are warm and do have the sulfur water smell people mentioned. We would definitely stay here again for the location and friendly staff.
