"Had a wonderful stay here. The property is charming with a lot of character and a perfect central location. The “superior” room was spacious and bright and the staff were incredibly friendly. The cleaning staff especially were so kind and sweet. The shower did switch temperatures from hot to warm back and forth which was odd but that was the only thing we noticed. Overall fantastic and highly recommend!!"

"Rimondi is a beautiful hotel in the middle of old town. The streets are cobblestone. The hotel is beautifully maintained. People stop and peep thru the gates to see the beauty inside. Our check in was flawless. We felt like we had a personal concierge with Kostos. Rimondi made our trip special."

"Great big suite right in old town. Bad stuff; Two things to be aware of … our shower was in the bath which is a jakuzi with a huge edge that was really tricky to clamber over to get in and out. Second, parking is round the corner, you have to bring your cases to the hotel on foot, (not so easy) and parking is expensive, €30 per 24hrs, discounted to €22 for Avli guests. Good stuff; the staff are fabulous, all of them. The hotel fine dining restaurant is very good indeed, we ate here twice in 3 nights in Rethymno. Stelios and colleagues are impressively knowledgeable on Cretan wines and food pairing. £150 for two for 3 courses each, 3 glasses of wine each and coffee. Things to do; the fortress is a must (€5, suggest trainers too), drive out to Akardi Monastery. We think we will return with friends."

L’emplacement est vraiment idéal pour découvrir à pied la vieille ville. Nous nous y sommes sentis très bien et aurions vraiment aimé pouvoir y rester plus longtemps. Une très belle expérience que nous recommandons sans hésitation!"

"A lovely traditional hotel with a great location near the beach. The roof top pool was amazing with a nice little bar area for drinks and snacks. All the staff were so polite and friendly."

"Hotel easy to find, next to large supermarket on a main road, a mile from the cross island route. Some parking, 3 allocated spaces and then on street parking nearby Has a lift but some stairs involved for most rooms. Room was a 2 room apartment with a large lounge/kitchen area, with a large Smart TV, oven, hob and fridge. Balcony off each room, large shower room, and plenty of storage space. Complimentary breakfast was good. Pool area limited, not enough sunbeds and begins to lose sun from about 3pm. Staff were pleasant and helpful. 100yds from the massive beach and its safe promenade full of bars and restaurants leading to town, about a mile away. The main road option I would avoid on foot, parked cars and busy junctions."
