Probably one of the nicest apartments I have booked as a solo traveller. Incredibly well-equipped, modern, comfortable, spacious. Mari, the owner, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. There was a lovely welcome basket when I arrived, daily housekeeping if required, and help with booking excursions and transfers. If you are hesitating - don’t! Book as you won’t regret it.

Very competent, professional, clean, kind. I've had a 10/10 experience and would go back in a heartbeat. The room was clean, the suites are very well located and as a female solo traveller I've always felt safe.

This is a hidden gem in Old Town. The owner and staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The rooms are immaculate with high end amenities. We had a balcony that overlooked the street below, but even with the location being right in the heart of Old Town, the room was very quiet and comfortable for sleeping. The rooms are also exceptionally beautiful. You can see the love that goes into this small boutique hotel. Parking is not an issue either, with a paid lot a couple of blocks away. There is no other place I would have wanted to be in the heart of the city.

Great boutique stay in Rethymnon

Lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of the old town. Beautiful room with fantastic facilities. Small kitchen, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, wine, raki, water, fruit, toast & jams. Modern TV with Netflix etc. Shower and toiletries were brilliant. Couldn’t fault it. I would highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Marea Boutique Suites and honestly couldn't have asked for more. The room was beautiful, modern, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a lovely handmade purse from the owner, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. The suite was also stocked with a generous selection of complimentary treats, including wine, raki, water, and various delicious snacks and foods. We experienced a small issue with the locker, but it was resolved extremely quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. The location is hard to beat. Marea Boutique Suites is situated right in the heart of Rethymno's Old Town, making it easy to explore the city on foot. For those arriving by car, you can conveniently stop for free for up to 30 minutes at the harbour to unload your luggage, and afterwards move your car to one of the nearby free parking areas. What truly made our stay special was the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. Everything was taken care of, and you can tell the owners genuinely care about their guests' experience. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Marea Boutique Suites to anyone visiting Rethymno.

This hotel is on the edge of old-town by the water. It is almost a perfect location. We'd stay there again. We had a rental car, so parking was important to us, so let me say word there. The Expedia listing said there was parking, but that didn't mean the hotel provided parking. It only meant there was parking available from someone else in the area. There was a paid lot right across that street that had slots available even when the area was the most crowded. The cost was about 20 Euros per day. There is free parking available if you can grab a spot early in the morning. Bottom line: don't sweat the parking as long as you're willing to pay. Breakfast was 15 Euros and I didn't think it was worth it, but there were lots of places to eat within easy walking.
