"Everything was amazing. The only thing that was missing is larger bath towels! It was clean, well appointed and the view and hot tub were great. The kids really enjoyed their time in the "playroom" in the basement as well!"

"Property was definitely unique. Communication was not great. I asked for an early check in and never heard back so we didn’t arrive early. There were tons of bugs when we arrived at 5 pm. A candle or spray would have been helpful.So many bugs we were unable to open windows or go outside. Many of the screens were missing or had holes. It was 93 degrees inside with all the windows and it was not prepared for our arrival. We had to figure out the ac splits which took a lot of trial and error and about an hour of our stay away. Jax was not open for our free lunch or breakfast. Which we understand there was a leak. But it should have been communicated. There is also no phone service in the town. The spiral staircase to the bedroom is tiny and hard to navigate with bags. I do not recommend for the old or children. It was never mentioned in the property description. It was relatively clean, but every drawer and cabinet was full of junk/trash and the windows weren’t very clean. There wasn’t enough seating for 5 of us on any deck but it was ok since there were so many bugs. Also the property isn’t very private for so many windows. The neighbors security light kept going off and on which shown in all the bedrooms all night. The shower faces the road and it’s all glass so for the traffic on the road it was a show. Overall it was enjoyable but the price vs experience was debatable. "

"We absolutely loved this place! The common areas were lovely with comfortable seating and antiques. The rooms were uniquely decorated and fun, and we all enjoyed picking which "country" we wanted to stay in! We will definitely visit again :) "

"What a great, private, spacey place in Southern VT. Fantastic social area on the first floor…..big, natural fireplace and plenty of seating for 8-10 people. Very clean with ALL the amenities you would need. Filtered water too ! Would book again for sure. Thanks Eva ! "

"This place is simply fantastic. If you are looking for quiet...and I mean ABSOLUTE quiet...this is your place! Nestled just five minutes south of Readsboro, VT, Brookside Cottage is the place to get disconnected and just breathe a bit. Our family needed this place...I needed to be here...with our kids growing up so fast, now at 14 and 11, my wife and I just wanted to have a few days to be together, play some games, watch some movies, and enjoy each other's company. I'm convinced we found the place that we will return to for years to come, and regardless of the season, we'll find happy memories together here as we made this week. Michael was a fantastic host from booking to even thanking us for being there! You won't go wrong with this gem, hidden in the beautiful and breathtaking silence of southern Vermont."
