The cabin is the epitome of rustic charm with some modern convenience. The host is very easy to communicate with. The hot tub is very clean. The beds are on the firm side but very well-appointed. The water pressure in the shower isn't super strong, but I expect that when on a well system. The sauna was a treat. I'd stay here again.

Everything was unique everything was perfect, stepped out of summer right into Christmas. Needed that caving was amazing clean well kept great host recommend lots of options in the area will be there again in the future

Great property for a family and pets!

We spent the entire weekend at the property because it was so relaxing and had everything we needed. It was summer so we were outside all day just fishing and playing with the outdoor games provided. Then in the evening we went from the hot tub to the sauna and back again! Only coming inside to finally shower and rest. Our dog loved the space as well, with plenty or room to roam and places to explore. Yes, the neighbors do have ATVs that they like to take out but they aren't rude, just having fun themselves on the weekends. It didn't go into the night. And the property is private, there is another house way, way up on a hill behind the cabin, but I would not call it over looked like another reviewer commented. You hang out at the back only, by the river so its private. There were lots of little touches that made our stay feel special! We would 100% stay here again!

Lovely and relaxing

The cabin and property exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect weekend getaway. The beds were the so comfy, the fireplace, the hot tub, the river…it was all lovely. Communication with the hosts was great, and the place was easy to find. Everyone in town my was really nice. I even saw an otter in the river.

Relaxing getaway

This place is definitely a rustic cabin. The property is very spacious and well kept. The beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet there. The fireplace is beautiful, but there was no hatchet to make kindling or fire starter. Once you get it going though, it’s very nice. The stairs to the loft are kind of steep, but we managed to get ourselves up and down ok ( we’re not spring chickens anymore 😊). I’f you are only having coffee there, you’ll be fine, but we like to cook our own meals when we rent a VRBO this kitchen is quite small and crowded. The cook pans were great, but, there were not enough glasses and mixing bowls etc. for what we needed. The setting is beautiful especially when you are sitting in the hot tub! Having the stream running through the property was also very nice. All things considered, we really enjoyed our four nights there.

Loud Neighborhood and Subpar Maintenance

As of posting this review, the photos are not reflective of the surroundings. There is one neighbor that looks over the entire property. The trees along the river are not thick enough to block the neighbors on the other side, and there is a bridge that looks straight onto the river bank, patio, and hot tub. We stayed Mon-Fri during the summer and expected semi-quiet surroundings, but multiple neighbors had loud construction, one was blasting music, and the neighbors who share the bridge were riding dirt bikes all week. During the few hours each day the neighbors were quiet, the location was peaceful. The maintenance is also less than I expect for a highly rated vacation rental. We found at least three lights burnt out, the bathroom faucet was leaky, the hot tub jets were largely not working, the sauna was dry only, no steam, and while there were two fire locations, a lighter was not made available. I also twisted my ankle in a hole at the bottom of the stairs, it was hidden by grass that was much too tall. Probably the most interesting part, on our first day we found a bird trapped in the fireplace. We were able to direct it outside, but later heard more chirping and fluttering. Clearly there was a nest in the chimney so we ended up not using the fireplace at all, this was majorly disappointing. We were in contact with the manager but none of these were easy fixes. We enjoyed our time anyway, but I wouldn't stay here again. If you want privacy, this isn't it.

Outstanding family getaway

This was our fourth or fifth time staying here and it truly NEVER disappoints! It is the perfect mix of outdoor adventure and country chic to make for a relaxing and entertaining visit for adults and kids alike. We love the hot tub and roasting smores over the campfire - thanks to Heather for her impeccable communication 💗 we can’t wait to return

Unique cabin in gorgeous setting

We adored the cabin. Such a fine and unique experience. We loved the grounds even more. Serene, beautiful riverfront lawn and the hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was just icing on the cake. The hostess was perfect. We hope to return some day even though we live very far away.

Great Cabin But Not Secluded

We were so looking forward to staying at this place. It's a great looking cabin, very clean, warm and we enjoyed using the firepit near the river, hot tub and fireplace, however we perceived the place to be secluded, as based on the photos in the listing. Upon reaching there, we discovered the property is not secluded as we expected. Across the field, there is a house up on the hill in plain view. The occupants of that house were constantly driving their plethora of vehicles, including a loud dirt bike, up and down the side road all day and night, driving to the house across the river of the property, that it became very annoying. On our last night there, the house across the field started a huge bonfire that was close to the height of the house. If you're looking for peaceful quiet and total seclusion, this place is definitely not for you.

Beautiful location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the log cabin! The property is so picturesque. The location is both convenient to amenities in town, yet it's also far enough way from main roads to feel so private and in the midst of nature. The towering evergreens and babbling river flowing in the backyard are a real bonus to this getaway. The hot tub on the deck overlooks the river and it's so enjoyable to be immersed in peaceful nature all around you. The log cabin was super clean, comfortable, cozy, warm, and the owner was very communicative and helpful. Our kids loved the log cabin, and there was plenty of room outside for our dog to run around, too!

Cozy cabin, beautiful property

We really enjoyed our winter getaway in this cozy cabin and are looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the river! We particularly enjoyed using the sauna and appreciated the little chocolates on our pillows!

Great weekend away

The house was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for more for a quiet weekend away and it was such a good bonus that the dog got to come with! Every question I had got answered same day and the check in process was so easy and Heather had the house feeling so welcoming on our arrival with lights on and a basket of s'mores makings. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Washington River Cabin

Great getaway from Portland, Olympia or Seattle. The dogs loved playing in the field. Great bird and wildlife watching. The river sounds wonderful while soaking in the hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed. The king bed was sooooo comfy. A lovely rustic vibe and wood fireplace made this place a favorite for us.

Pasamos un fin de semana increible en la Cabaña. Superó ampliamente nuestras expectativas. Quería agradecerte por tu hospitalidad y buena onda. Quedamos enamorados de la cabaña y de todo el predio. La cabaña es de una gran calidad, con hermosos detalles que hacen de la estadía una hermosa experiencia. El predio es muy grande, con mucha privacidad y vegetación. En la cabaña contas con todo lo que necesitas, incluso con una bajada al río. El hidromasaje y el ventanal con vista al bosque suman muchos puntos. A perfect winter weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this peaceful and beautifully maintained property. The host was very responsive, directions were clear, and the cabin was well-stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The hot tub and sauna were both excellent and most appreciated on a cold rainy January day. Would definitely return.

Amazing anniversary getaway.

We had so much fun relaxing at this property. Other than a scary encounter with an unknown wild animal on the way back from the sauna, the weekend was a dream come true. The amenities were wonderful and the place was beautifully decorated. Thank you for letting us stay!

Private and Perfect!

Great stay
