House in Durham

Trash was piled up by the fence from previous stay, sheets had food crusted on them, floors and bathroom was dirty, and we didn’t have access to the rooms above the garage and management didn’t know the right code to access it so some of our guest had to rent a hotel. Not an enjoyable experience

cute house but...

We were given a code that was supposed to work for the garage, main house and additional unit (that we didn't actually know existed as the description was updated after booking). We contacted the host right away but they did not have the info to fix. Had to walk around the block to enter from the front door. Once in, the house was very cute and nicely decorated - perfect for a smaller group of people. There were sticky glass marks on some of the tables from previous guests, no paper towels, and garbage left in drawers. We had to go through the house to open the garage in order to unload and then after counting the bedrooms in the main house realized that the garage apartment must house the additional 2 bedrooms on the reservation. We attempted to use the same code as the mainhouse but it did not open. After conversing with the host we asked for someone to come to the house to help us get this sorted out however they would not oblige. We ended up cramming 8 women (4 moms and 4 teenage girls) into 3 bedrooms. We had to utilize the couches in the living room as beds (they did not pull out). All of this while just receiving messages from the host insisting they were looking into the matter. We tried multiple codes - given by the host - but nothing worked and they would not send anyone to help. I have raised the issue with VRBO and am still waiting for a refund for the lacking 2 bedrooms. There was alot of garbage piled on the side of the house in bags.
