It was a perfect place to stay to visit Dino State Park and spend some time in Glen Rose. The hosts were extremely nice and flexible. He drove by the cabin one evening and gave us some farm fresh eggs!
We had a great stay while visiting some family locally. The cabin was perfect and the property was really nice to explore a little! The cabin had everything we needed!
Stan and Kay are very nice and we loved meeting their dogs and their sons dogs! A great place to stay. We enjoyed the campfire outside. Not too far from Granbury, TX.
Clean cabin area for a couple or small family get away. Fully functional kitchen with utensils and cookware. Even has a washer and dryer that can be used on the property. Included soap and shampoo for showers as well as a great interary for guiding you on the property and location of summer activities activities
Nice location, away from town. The cabin was nice and cool inside with some lovely sunflowers out front. Took us a while to find the dumpster for the trash but once we found it, we didn’t have any other issues. Great place and recommend staying here.
We had a great time spending time with the family! It is close to Glen Rose and Granbury with lots of things to do very close.
We appreciate you sharing your guest cottage with us and the grands are already planning our next visit. 😀
Short trip with grands who thoroughly enjoyed the area. Rocks, river, dinosaurs. Convenient to activities but secluded and quiet for down time. We didn't cook, other than hot dog on the fire pit so kitchenwas fine for coffee and snacks. A little confusion at check in but no big deal and all handled well. thanks!
After a couple of years of health issues and a ling school year this was the perfect place to chill. Out in the country ,but close enough for shopping, Granbury Opera House to see Newsies, dinner and of course shopping. Perfect for lazy mornings and afternoon naps. I want to come back and bring our basset to roam the property.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was very peaceful and tranquil. It was clean and nice.
The only thing that went wrong was the ceiling fan and light in the bedroom did not work. other than, it was very pleasant.
We (myself and 2 friends) were attending an equestrian event in the area and were looking for lodging close by with a little character. And we found just that. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for the three of us. It was an easy check in process. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend stay. We will definitely book it again.
We went to the area for spring break to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park. We chose this little cabin for our family as it was just the right size for us and our two boys. The accommodations were nice. It worked well for us as it was a place to stay, cook, and shower. We enjoyed the fire pit and a hike up the hill to the swings. Overall, this property worked for what we needed for an our short stay for spring break. Suggestions: We brought items to grill but the gas grill wasn’t usable as it was missing the heat plates to distribute the flame. We used the oven instead.
We enjoyed our little cozy cabin. Was very clean and had great water pressure .Bed was very comfortable and air conditioner was very cold considering it was extremely hot outside. We went to river on the property hunting for cool river rocks also my husband went fishing he had fun.We really enjoyed visiting with Mr Stan he was so nice and even brought us fresh eggs. We will definitely be back during cooler months next time..
If you are looking for a stay at a quiet country setting this is The place. The cabin is a charming and cozy cabin that feels very welcoming. The bed and sofa and eazy chair were the most comfortable ones I have ever used. The river was so beautiful and relaxing. The night sky will not disappoint either. Mornings were very tranquil and visits from neighboring wildlife we so neat. This was a great place to stay! The property manager was great and promptly took care of any questions we had. We are greatfull we got to stay here and Definitely will be back!
My best friend and I had 2 days of peace and quiet except for the birds. It was exactly what we were looking for. We so enjoyed our coffee on the porch. It was a short distance to the river and a very nice place to fish and/or picnic. We have never been treated as well at any other cabins. Fresh eggs and just picked spinach? Doesn't get any better. Inside the cabin was great. The a/c worked great, the water was hot and the bed was really comfortable. Would definitely recommend and already looking at the calendar to see when we can go back. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.
We had the best of times at this property! Cabin is cozy and comfortable, clean with a stocked refrigerator and cold AC. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. River access is just a short walk away, and the cabin is situated very close to all the attractions the area has to offer, while still being nestled away far enough for peace and quiet. There are other cabins on this property, but they're spread out far enough that it still feels private.
The hosts, Kay and Stan, are incredibly welcoming! We stayed during the eclipse and they brought over moon pies and welcomed us to watch the event with their friends and family. Truly they went above and beyond! Overall, highly recommend and would certainly book again!
Even though we didn't get to see the dinosaur tracks because of heavy rains, we had a good time. We walked all around the property, saw all the animals there, visited with 2 friendly dogs, got to ride around the property with the owner on his kabota. We walked to Brazos river, but it just rained & was moving rapidly. We went into town & walked around. Shopped at antique stores, ate good food. Lots of firepits around! plenty of swings. Trampoline. It was a relaxing time. Would do it again!
My husband and our two dogs stayed here for 3 nights over the Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time! Close to Dinosaur Valley State Park (which was amazing!) and trail access to the Brazos which was fun to wade in and have rock skipping competitions!
The cabin was clean and lovely! Fully stocked kitchen with full size fridge was a great plus! Kaye gives excellent instructions and offers lots suggestions for things to do in the area.
Queen size bed was comfy! I’m picky with pillows and forgot to bring mine, but they’re weren’t terrible. Washer and dryer in unit a plus. TV and wifi a available, not the highest speed or best reception. But if that’s what you’re looking for, why even bother coming here! Disconnect and enjoy country living!!! We settled in with games and watched a couple DVDs they had in the cabin. Absolutely recommend it!
According to the listing:
1 bedroom cabin, sleeps four. Pet friendly*. Property is on Brazos River.
It is not on the river and nowhere near the river.
When I commented to the owner about that she wondered why everyone thought it was on the River?
I parked close the the front of the cabin to unload my groceries and bags and was reprimanded by the male owner ( I guess that's who he was as he never identified himself) that that was not the parking spot and pointed out the correct one. I stated that I would move it after I unloaded and he started his ride and drove off. Never had any more interaction with the owners - thank goodness.
I won't be coming back even though cabin itself was nice.
