My wife and I had a great time staying at the Jackson House. The owners were so friendly, accommodating, the breakfast/cookies/coffee were fabulous. We look forward to our next trip here.
The trail is right outside and a good excuse to get some steps in each day.
The building is a former hotel of the civil war era... Lovely back garden and breakfast was served in a very period dinning room setting... Our room was small and very cozy, with the most OUTSTANDING and comfortable bed ever. This was mentioned in the description and lived up to the hype... The most lovely aspect of a delightful stay was the home cooked 5 star breakfast, cooked and served by our host!! If you are looking for a safe well attended overnight accommodations with the added warmth of a caring and particular host, we suggest this welcoming spot.
So comfortable! Pleasant atmosphere in a historic B&B with owners that care about their guests! Wonderful amenities, fresh breakfasts, very clean and relaxing.
Great historic hotel, which has been well preserved and converted to a BnB. Friendly owners, who were welcoming and helpful. Drinks and homemade cookies were a nice treat. The breakfast was wonderful. Everything about our stay was perfect.
Wonderful place to stay, perfect for riding bikes with the rail trail right outside the door. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious ! Can’s wait to plan our next trip!
I had a LOVELY stay at the Jackson House B&B. Friendly, Clean, Safe and yummy breakfasts. Location is ideal to what I needed. Don't forget your walking shoes and bike, as the trail is right outside your door. Will return in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful stay. Rooms were nice and the bed I wanted to take home. Lol. Owner are nice as can be. Husband can cook his face off. Delicious bkft. Will go back and recommend.
We loved our stay here! The rooms are very clean, the front porch was basically right outside our bedroom. It was so relaxing to sit out there. Depending on the time you can even catch a train coming through. The breakfast was amazing! All guests have access to coffee, water and a variety of sodas in the fridge. The owners were very friendly! Can't wait to come back and stay again!!!!
Love the Jackson House! We felt welcomed from the moment Damon greeted us at the door. He went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of and happy. It was relaxing to sit on the porch with a glass of wine and watch the people on the road.
On our last morning, we left before breakfast was served. Damon made us a great tasting "grab & go" breakfast. As we were visiting family, I'm sure that we will be paying Jackson House another visit.
I had accidentally booked this room thinking it was located in Gettysburg, but I'm glad I did it. The room was really cute with its antique theme. We stayed in the Jackson Room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean and neat. The innkeeper, Pam, had left brownies on the table for us to have when we got in. She was very nice and attentive when making breakfast. I am a vegetarian and didn't expect much as far as breakfast but Pam definitely takes into consideration that there are vegetarians guests even though she didn't know that about me. She had recommendations and restaurant options on our welcome letter. I will definitely stay here again if I'm going to be in the area, even if I had drive to Gettysburg it was so worth it!
